With the, now, thousands of wounded and amputees from the Afghan conflict we have so very many applications from service personnel and their families. We are in desperate need of accommodation so we are asking for people owning apartments and villas, who find it in their hearts, to donate a week or two for these very brave men and women who have lost limbs and been badly wounded so that they can get away for a well deserved holiday here in Cyprus. This does not need to be specialized accommodation as most of our injured manage very well on prosthetics etc. M.A.R.C.H. is a Christian run, charitable organization organizing FREE holiday accommodation and all people involved are volunteers. In Sept 2010 we first started contacting home owners here in Cyprus asking if they would like to donate their property free for a week or two each year in order that we could bring wounded/disabled/traumatized military/ex military personnel and their families for a holiday. Our first “guest” arrived in January 2011, we have had so many applications for holiday accommodation to date. Many families have already been over and enjoyed the Cyprus sunshine and gone home refreshed.
