CYPRUS - A SMALL ISLAND THAT CARES!!!!!!
Who have helped M.A.R.C.H. give many of our wounded and amputees with their families, including tetraplegics, paraplegics, double and triple amputees, the blind, have the holiday that they deserve here in Cyprus.

January has seen so very many new applications for M.A.R.C.H.’s FREE holiday accommodation. Our first guests arrive in early March; he is a double amputee from BLESMA, having lost both legs below the knees. Other young men and women with their families coming this year include a triple, a number of double amputees and paraplegics and many with other serious injuries. These serving and veterans apply through the Band of Brothers/Sisters in the UK. This is part of H4H who have over 1200 wounded and amputees in their organization. Although they send out emails to them to apply to M.A.R.C.H. we get no funding from H4H or any other of the big charities i.e. SSAFA, RBL, etc and regrettably our present fund raising coordinator is leaving Cyprus soon so we are on the lookout for someone else who has the ability to coordinate fund raising events for M.A.R.C.H. If any of you reading this have a heart for our wounded heroes and feel you could take over this vital position please contact us by phone or email.

Fund raisers who kept MARCH going last year with donations were Stage One Theatre , in Emba, Paphos Zingers, Anglican church of Paphos and other people like Alan Mack with his quiz nights , Bill Winfield with his film nights and the list goes on. Without their help we could not provide our guests with necessities like the mini bus and welcome packs or utilities i.e. electric, laundry etc for the owners who generously donate their homes. We thank all of our volunteers who do airport runs and the many things like house cleans etc. We are a non-governmental organization relying solely on the generosity of people who care.

With the amount of injured and amputees coming this year we are desperate for caring people to donate their holiday homes to us for one or two weeks of the year (if you have a wet room or downstairs bedroom/en-suite, so much the better, these are the things we are desperate for) so that we can give these young men and women a holiday to remember. If you feel you can help with anything please contact us via our website www.march-cy.org or telephone Alan on Cyprus mobile 00357 99850355. We should be a registered charity soon and if you feel you could donate please visit our website and donate on MARCH’s PayPal account. Thank you all so very much for what you do for our wounded heroes.

Please visit our website where you will find details of our new Patron, Chris Mercer, an international Christian Country & Western and Gospel singer/songwriter/speaker who will be visiting us here in Cyprus later this year.
