Hi Guys, Great to have found this forum. I just wanted tell you about us.... We are National Radio 1 based in Paphos broadcasting across the island and out to the rest of Europe via our online broadcast network. Currently we are only online but are working with the government and relevant licensing bodies to get onto FM as soon as possible. That#s where you can help... We play the best mix of music from the 80's 90's and today with as little advertising in the way as possible. We have attracted over 30,000 listeners since going to air in April in 55 different countries. Over 70% listen right here in Cyprus. We want to know what you think... the more that listen and love us, the quicker we can get national FM status from the government. Log on to http://www.nationalradio1.com and click listen live. Our DJ's are trained and are ready to take your requests. Let's get National Radio 1 on the FM airwaves and give Cyprus what they have been calling crying out for.. Thanks for your time Tom Kid Managing Director TDK Media Ltd, National Radio 1 Cyprus |

As you never know they might be a big hit, and you might want to call in a few favours one day. You must look after people, to be looked after. If that made any sence In other words you scratch my back, i scratch yours That how i work anyway, and it pays to do this Tom good luck with the radio mate This is only my thought's and workings on life |

Mark, Me & Tom already know each other as I have an advert on his website from last year you see Also, if we leave this 'fly advert' on for 1 week, then others will want the same & the forum will turn into a forum for fly advertising & that's not what we want is it So I'll leave it on as promised for 24 hrs & will move it to another area later this afternoon, as we already have a link to their website in our 'Forum Rules & Announcements' forum which has been there since April |

Pete i do understand what you are saying, but i also think something like a radio show even if it is online only, would reach more people than any other business.so i would myself stretch the rules a bit for someone like this guy. It is only my thoughts mind you. Now my back is itchy who want to scratch it for me. |

Sorry mate, I can't break the rules for anyone or else we'd start having double standards & that's not how we run the forum Iaw T&C's I should remove all 'Fly Advertising' straight away but we've decided to allow members 24hrs exposure (if they contact us in advance) for new businesses only I will however let this one slip & then merge it with their other post in the 'Forum Rules & Announcements' forum If Tom wants to advertise on our forum/main web, he needs to contact Neil at: listings@paphospeople.com for details, maybe we can do some crosss advertising for both our benifits |

Good station ....... correct me if wrong ........ but did we see a Black Thunder vehicle at Coral Bay last week, I'm sure it was your website on the side? Caught my eye because our local radio station in the UK was Dream FM based in Chelmsford and they had Black Thunder vehicles that travelled the county for events and publicity or was it Essex FM, geesh I have a bad memory Just wondered? |

Hi Guys, Firstly thanks Pete for your reply. Being the MD for a national radio station takes up alot of my time and ill be honest and say I didn’t read alot of the email that was sent, and thanks to everyone that has been in touch regarding my post. Pete is right in what he says and i thank him for allowing it to stay on the site for those 24 hours. It wouldn’t be fair on other people if we were allowed longer time because of the stations status. National Radio 1 just want to provide Cyprus with a better and more professional radio, with less advertising and more presenter/music show's. Hosted by trained and trainee presenters. The station is set up on the principle of commercial radio in the UK which work, meaning we work closer and more for the community then any other station on this island. We might only be online right now but we are getting out there and being heard. That’s where the Blackthunder comes in. I used to work for Gcap Ltd in the UK whom own over 100 commercial station across the country including Essex FM and SGC Colchester (You may have heard me on these stations a number of times lol). Sad to say Dream 100 was not a Gcap station and didn’t have a thunder, although a very good station. The Blackthunder was an idea from Australia which was bought over to the UK some years ago and has been a great success. I have now bought it to Cyprus to work directly with the public. So if you were in Coral Bay you defiantly saw me !! The Blackthunder is our outdoor vehicle which takes the station to the community across the island. They bring donuts to work places during the interactive lunch show as part of the "At-Work Anthems". Your business gets a shout out on the air as well. We have competitions that the vehicle runs where you can win cash by putting a station sticker in your car and as of September the Blackthunder will be starting the "Cool Ride To School" where your kids can be taken to school by our professional and qualified thunder team and made to look cool in front of all their mates. Also give you parents a lay in the morning. One last thing, if your holding an event or want to promote your charity event, school fair or a promotional do then give us a call and we can send the thunder team down to you. studio@nationalradio1.com or call 26 94 95 96 Anyway thanks for your time and Pete thanks for your support. Will pop in soon about a possible deal between PP and NR1. Best Regards Tom Managing Director TDKmedia Ltd, National Radio 1 Cyprus |
