I've got a breadmaker and need some strong bread flour - I found wholemeal strong flour in Papantoniou, but does anyone know where I can get white bread flour? The village flour didn't work at all!

I'm not sure what you are doing differently but the white village flour works just fine in my bread maker.

Orphanannies had large, 5 kilo bags of wholemeal village flour a couple of weeks ago. don't know if they still have them.

They sell it in Carrefour I believe, I bought a bag of it at one of the supermarkets and usually shop at C. Its a British brand, Allinsons I think, will wander downstairs later and check!.

I buy Allinsons strong white in Paps but you need to get it when you see it cos it goes off the shelves quick. I use the Cypriot wholemeal for my grown bread it gives a good light bread with a nice malt flavour. Marj

Yes the Cypriot wholemeal is lovely and I found some strong white Allinson's in Orphanides at the mall, hurrah! Thanks everyone.
