well what can we say...the best lunch that we have ever had....superb quality food

we had the Halumi salad.....yummy or what.....the salad was full of all sorts of beautiful things including the Taverna's own sun dried tomates..deep fried marrow flowers that had the yummiest garlic flavour...home made crutons....and the dressing was that good.....that edd mopped his plate clean with his aniseed flavoured bread :D

The owner Charlie who comes from Peyia :D ......goes to his garden and picks the fruit and veg's daily to be used in the Taverna.....so freshness and quality are what is talked about here

we can't wait now to go and try their evening dishes.....as they look superb

a bit pricier than your local take away...lunch for 2 including drinks was 25 euro's.....but absolutely for quality, freshness, service and taste.......well worth it

we have allready booked our anniversary dinner there

and know that we are going to be going there for our evening meals out

it was more than good Wolfie......it was exceptional

apparantly it is jam packed of an evening.which wouldn't surprise me and edd at all
and ......as an added bonus........it is open ALL winter :D

if you are down in the Harbour.....Tea for 2 is on the corner........ Gourmet Taverna is next door to Tea for 2....right on the corner....next to the Water Fountain ...across from Paphos Municipal Baths......if you carried on up that road the Annabelle Hotel and The Alexander The Great Hotel would be on your right.

I've been 3 or 4 times in the evening and as Maggie says - it's excellent. My last visit was early October and we had to wait about half an hour for a table. I suppose they'll remove the outdoor tables for the winter and so probably advisable to book.

I think it's behind the fountain, opposite Porto Paphos hotel - near Pinguino, before you get to Pop Life :greetings

gourmet taverner....is next to the little fountain as you walk up out of the harbour on the way to the Annabelle Hotel....it is next to Tea for 2 .......

excited as going there tonight for yet another lovely meal xxxx
