Have always liked Thomas's Jungle for both a light snack at lunchtime or evening meal.

June.

Thomas's - good value for money and if you like Karaoke, Tuesdays are great with Dr Mike & Max the hat. Both can sing, and are very helpful to those who wish to sing that haven't the best of voices!

Last Castle - fab food, stunning views - not to be missed.

I've eaten at Thomas' twice, both times good food and service.

Viklari is good for a long leisurely lunch - providing none of you are vegetarians!

Yiannis at Kathikas is consistently good food, never been to Greek night  - living up in the hills, during the winter months especially, the locals turn up for dinner at the local taverna armed with their kithari or bouzouki and entertain themselves and us, unscheduled and free of charge :-)

Don't know any of the others on your list - we tend to eat at tavernas in the surrounding villages.

Firstly, if you've not try it, try the website for any eating places
http://www.cyprus-eating.com/

Many of the top reviewers on the site are regular posters on here.

Viklari (The last castle) - lovely views, nice simple food. No really choice of food - BBQed chicken, pork or a piece of each. Lunch time only.

Viva Cyprus - Already. We've had the 3 course a couple of times. The pudding trolley is a winner, but the other courses are pot luck on if they are good or not.

Argo - A few friends have said they thought it was really good. We thought it was rubbish.

Sophie's - went about 3 year ago - we liked it then, but we've heard it's gone down hill a lot since then.

Viklari is not in Peyia it is on the Akamas peninsular anonderful views and basic tasty barbequed food. Lunchtime only.

Sophies used to be great, last time we went it was not particularly good so haven't been back this year. I hear it is under new management but have not had any feedback from friends etc.

Yianis in Kathikas my personal favourite, consistantly good food and Greek night on a Tuesday is very enjoyable. No charge for Greek night, usual menu and audience participation goes down well.Need to book as it gets busy.

Never been to any of the others.

Petradaki in Kathikas is also very good and booking is a good idea there too.

Hope you have a great holiday

I think Michael's is excellent. Good food, good service, good prices.

You have not needed to book at any of the hilly village tavernas for a few years now, except maybe on a Friday in August. However a quick search on google gave this as the first hit. http://www.cyprus-eating.com/paphos-reg ... 46-Yiannis I just love that Google

if the man who answers sounds like he is growling from the bottom of a cellar - that is the man himself.

Left at Coral Bay roonaboot towards Akamas,
Carry on past new community centre.
Take right after Baccarat Mansion on road towards Polis (also Peyia on post)
Continue up until you reach Kathikas post, turn right again, enter village and ask one of the damned, Im sure its on your left. before the church.
