We tried this lovely place again today, knowing that the previous owner had left and new ones taken over - and pleased that we did. Still one of our favourite places to go - and not too much had actually changed. The food was varied and what we had was lovely. Home made Steak & Ale pie, using ale from the local Aphrodite Brewery. Beautiful shortcrust pastry, tender huge chunks of tasty steak and gravy, accompanied by home made chunky chips. Not much left on the plate. There was also on offer a range of salads, such as Stilton with strawberries, rocket and balsamic glaze, as well as the basics such as coleslaw and potato salad made with mint and yoghurt dressings. All so fresh and gorgeous looking! To accompany the salads are home made quiche and fritatas, salmon, chicken breast & tiger prawns. The sandwiches are also varied, and offered on ciabbata bread with various fillings. The house wine is Kolios (one of my favourites) at €3 for a large glass, and of course there are other beers and soft drinks available too. The new owners are Derrick (ex army chef) and his wife Rebecca, helped by their daughter Charlotte. We only met them for the first time today, but received a warm welcome and I feel that they will do really well here. for those of you who don't know where to find this little treasure trove - it is in Coral Bay. Go down the strip (away from Peyia) and turn left at Blazing Saddles. Turn left, left and left again and it is hidden away with a tiny signpost that you could easily miss. Tel no: 26 623 901 Good luck guys!
