June 2008 - Complimentary Wine from Colosseum
To celebrate the launch of the new Colosseum II restaurant, owner and head chef Nico has teamed up with Paphos-Eating website for a special promotion. For the month of June 2008 you will be able to receive a complimentary bottle of wine with your meal at the Colosseum II !!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was in 2001 that a dream came true for Nicos Charalambos, Owner, Executive Chef and Sommelier of the Colosseum Restaurant, when he bestowed his culinary skills on Paphos. Hardly a small acorn now, but 7 years later he has the pleasure of introducing you to Colosseum II. Nicos has not gone into this second restaurant lightly. After 7 years working hard at Danaes Street it seemed a natural progression

The wine in question is a dry white called Frascati Superiore Collepapa, and is a blend of Trebbiano, Greco and Malvasia grapes grown in the Lazio region of Central Italy. The producer descibes this wine as "fresh and harmonious, with scents of peach" and " .. delicious with salads, pasta or white meat ..". This notably popular wine is worth approximately €20 :

I love the original Colosseum, but the stairs can be a problem for some friends of mine (and me at times), so this looks good, as it seems to be ground floor. Can you give me a clue where it is - I see the address is Kleious, but where is it?

Thanks

Hi Jean. This place is ceretainly more accessible. From the Debenhams roundabout go downhill towards tourist area, across the next roundabout and where the road forks at the end go right. Follow the road along coast and turn right just after the Aloe Hotel. Same road as ZaZa and Koh-i-Nor. There is some land opposite that might be an option for parking.

We went here a week ago and I have to say the restaurant is really nice and has a good ambience.
We enjoyed good food and the staff were very friendly and attentive without being pushy.
The piano music was very pleasant to listen to as well.

Sue. :)

It is very nice, a little expensive but well worth it.I think they could do with expanding the menu a bit as well, there didn't seem to be much choice.
