I am extremely pleased to advise that DILLON'S RESTAURANT and BAR (on the Coral Bay Road - opposite The Laura Beach Hotel) is now under new ownership.

My daughter, Hannah and her fiance, Kelvin signed the contracts and lease yesterday and will be open for business during next week (when they've had a chance to get everything ready).

Open from 12:00 Midday to 12:00 midnight, food will be served up until 10pm.
Happy hour is 5-6pm

You can expect great food, good music and good company.

All are welcome, whether it's for a meal, a snack, or just a drink.

You can expect an international cuisine, including English, Italian, Greek and even Mexican. There will also be the favourites...home made pies and home made pizza.

Kelvin's Sunday lunches are legendary.

There'll be a grand opening once all is ready. Anyone coming that day will receive a voucher entitling them to 10% off their food bill the next time they visit.

Keep an eye on this post for news as to when the grand opening will be.

I am sure they were thinking of having a taverna night
at dillions, but I think it may have been put on hold, until
we knew what was going on..

hope to see you around more Keith

Hi Debs,

Kelvin will be doing most of the cooking, but if you're looking for kitchen work have a word with him.

All the best for that.

I thought forum member "Judge" was involved in the taking on of this venue ? Are you guys all in on the same business transaction ?

Hi...no, nothing to do with each other.

Our daughter saw Dillon's on the net around March time but we couldn't get over there to discuss it with the Dillon's until around April. Although they knew we were interested. The Judge's stepdaughter put a deposit down the day before we went to Dillon's to discuss a deal.

Then, when I heard that the Judge's deal had fallen through, we contacted Dillon's and made an offer.

Hope to see you there in the fullness of time.

Ah Ah thanks for the explanation as I was a bit confused there.

Let me clarify, it wasn't my deal, it was my step-daughter, who incidentally is being refused the return of her deposit, so lawyers now involved :? .

There was other stuff as well.............if you need details Keith in case of problems pm me.

Hay Judge,

I knew it was your stepdaughter's deal but I was being economical with words.

Sorry to hear about the deposit and the lawyers - it's never good when it gets to that stage.

Our deal seems to have gone through relatively cleanly and we are now up and running at full speed - just need more bums on seats now.

I'll let you know if I need any of the background - might be interesting, just in case.

Thanks Chris,
Keith

Just had our tea at Dillons and what a lovely home cooked meal it was. We both had the Mexican Chicken Fajita meal, which came with proper home cooked chips (best I've ever had here in Cyprus, the real, brown ones) and a lovely side salad, two beers a piece = 23euros!! The special tonight was Stifado or Seafood pie. Lovely eating area with a soft seating area as well, relaxing background music, just lovely to chill out.

The rest of the menu looks tempting with home cooked pies, sausages, burgers as well as chilli, curry, breakfasts, Sunday lunches as well as the daily specials. The best bit was a lovely slice of chocolate and baileys cake, verrrry moist and moorish with a lovely choccy topping. Will definitely be paying another visit.
