In these times of financial belt tightening I thought it might be an Idea to start a thread highlighting restaurants with either good deals or special offers. To get the ball rolling so to speak here are a couple for starters. (pun intended) The Farmyard in Kathikas is doing a 3 course eat as much as you want buffet on a Tuesday evening and a Thursday lunchtime....€10 per head... They still do their 4 course Sunday lunch for €15 per head. Finikas in Polis is doing €15 3 courses from a set menu that does have choices. Let us all know your restaurant deal discoveries. Brian. |

Not exactly a 'special' but Yummie Yummie the new take away in Coral Bay do very large kebabs for €4!! The Chicken Shish Kebab is delicious with lots of chunks of proper chicken breast, loads of salad and a large pitta. The mixed Doner (doner meat and chicken) is also very good and at €4 you can't go wrong. Fairly healthy too. They also do other stuff such as mousakka, sheftalia/meat meal packages, grilled sandwiches, burgers etc. As you enter the main Coral Bay road take the first turning on the left and they are the first on the right. Kaz PS - Orange Peel (Neilypops) is also doing cold sandwiches at the Duckpond Market at €2.90ish, coronation chicken, ham salad, cheese + tom, pork & stuffing, tuna mayo etc. Very, very good. |

We were the only ones in the restaurant, then just before we left another couple came in. So I guess they have got to try something to get customers through the door. |

I am glad this thread has popped back up.. A couple of weeks ago, when we had friends visit.. We tried the Raj , behind the aquarium .. a set menus for 2 for 20 euros ... Why do they do that... !! Then give you very small portions so that you have to order top-ups and they make extra money anyway.. It does make you angry .. I would rather pay 15 euros per person at Nemos and get the full whack .. Popadoms and pickles, then a good starter, when a good size main cours, with nambreads thrown in ... |
