That was written for a Newcastle paper. What do you expect ? I'm not saying he is the be all and end all cos he isn't. He is a young man learning his trade. He has made loads of mistakes if I'm honest none more so than in some of his signings like £5m for Chopra £3m for Halford. What might be relevant though at this time of the season is that all the team get along and the dressing room is in good spirits so we are told.

I've never liked the guy since his move to Man USA, as he's arrogant, a dirty player, full of his own hype & will get your lot relegated due to his ignorant attitude, he thinks he's Bryan Clough or Sir Alex & he's not even good enough to be their shoe cleaner

The only reason he's you manager is because Quinn & his Irish buddies (sorry business partners) want to turn Sunderland into another Celtic, with its Irish connections, thats why you have so many Irish players, I'll be shocked if Duff, Carr & more Irish players are tried to be brought in during the transer window

I don't take offence at what anyone says about Keane because the jury is still out. Niall Quinn's heart is in the right place and he has a genuine passion for the club, the place and the fans and put a lot of his money into the club. He is not a billionaire and so had to get funding. Yes he is Irish and so it seemed only natural that he turned to his Irish contacts to help him.
To be honest, to turn to Roy Keane to manage the club was a great coup for us. It generated a lot of publicity, it resulted in an increase in gates and most importantly he got us promoted to the Premier when we were staring relegation in the face.
Yes he's bought a lot of Irish players and ex Man Utd players which shows his lack of other contacts in the game. To say that Niall Quinn wants to produce another Celtic is an insult to Niall Quinn, Sunderland AFC and Celtic. He is a man who has this club at heart. He is Sunderfland AFC and he is in charge of the club he loves.
Now your chairman............ a Spurs fan............. bought the club as a hobby.......... knows absolutely nothing about the area.......... knows absolutely nothing about football........ and probably doesn't even care.

Being of Irish blood myself mate, thats southern Irish too, Quinn may well be SAFC but he's still Irish born & Bred so no matter what you think mate, if he can use his Irish connections to get more Irish in there, he will

As for Ashley, there you go again with your tabloid talk, Ashley never supported any team before buying the TOON & since doing so, as probably had more connection to the fans than Quinn did in his entire stretch at Stade de Fright

Don't forget one thing mate, Ashley may own the TOON lock, stock & barrel but he's not the chairman, thats MORT so say what you like about Ashley, come the summer, we'll see how committed he is to the course by how deep his pockets go & as for the stab at KK, I doubt he'd want to cross the river even if Quinn was a billionaire
