Sounds pretty bad, but they'll surely recover quite a bit of this from their FA Cup run and getting into Europe next year?

Speculate to accumulate comes to mind.
They probably will accumulate and if they get into Europe they will attract better players.

I heard a rumour that Gaydamak was wanting to sell his shares in Pompey, is that true or just tabloid trash again
