Yet you are not in Europe and last won anything over 40 years ago and when you do get into Europe you get in via the back door.
Curious.

i wonder who represents the faroe island?

after all, A total of 103 clubs are included - all of Uefa's 53 associations have a minimum of one representative.

newcastle got the place as they are were the next highest english team in the coefficients at the end of last season, be grateful it wasn't 6 representatives from the bigger nations or boro would be there too

coeffiecients here

http://europeancups.altervista.org/rankings/team%20ranking%202008.htm

full list of members is here

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/European_Club_Association

by the way the faroes wis represented by well look at the list KI and HB

Correct - it's all about UEFA coefficients, and we're still dining out on the back of a couple of UEFA Cup semis a few years back (maybe we owe Souness something after all??)

Good job they did it now though, as our coefficient is going to drop like a stone over the next couple of seasons. :(

Smogs, Spurs and Everton are all set to overtake us. It's a little while before we'll need to worry about the mackems though.... :P

Just goes without saying tho, that even tho the Spurts have been above us for the past 3 seasons, we're still classed in the big 5 of the Prem, no matter what anyone says, so I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts, who know what will happen next season, we may be back in Europe again
