Talk about stating the bleeding obvious. I don't think anyone connected with the club or any of the major supporter groups have been going around shouting that we are about to break into the BIg 4 next season. Mr Gray seems to be saying things just for effect and to get column inches during the close season.

We had our chance of the top 4 under Martin Jol and we blew it, it will be the season after next before we stand a chance of doing it again, subject to Ramos continuing to buy top quality players and the other 4 keeping the same aging squads.

For once KKK talked sense when he said the TOON were no where near a top 4 side and look at the flak he took from his bosses.

I am working on my predictions for the final table for next season and I see the Top 4 still remaining the same, although I do have a feeling Liverpool could surprise Chelsea and Arsenal.

Cheers.

John

Well up to now in our predicted league tables, Pete has Spurs finishing 9th then there's two have them in 5th and one in 4th.
They haven't finished their transfer acivity yet. When they do some might want to change their tables and move them further up !

I won't be, I don't care who they bring in as I dont think the players who they've got so far can do the job, I mean look at Sven & Citey last season, did well until the legs got the better of all his NEW foriegn players & slipped down the table  :o

All the players the Spurts have/are bringing in have never played in the EPL, so we have no idea how they will get on, yeah there are some good players like Modric, Santos etc but top class player like Kesman & Shevechenko were top class player in Europe but didn't do very well in the EPL, so if you're basing your prediction on here say, then you may want to re-think yours

Well I've never liked Manc USA, having lived near there for many years

As for the Spurts, the reason I don't like them is because they're doing nothing different to what the TOON did in the early to mid 90's but they seem to think they're something different, finishing 5th twice & being in europe for 3 seasons, WOW.. I mean the only difference is, we actually got into the top 4 a few times, they haven't yet, no matter how much money they spend each year :D :D

And for the Mackems, well, what can I say that you don't already know

How am I jealous of the Spurts :smilielol :smilielol

They've done nothing in the EPL until a couple of years ago, now they're suppose to be the best of the second bunch, I think not   They've not beaten us in the past 3 seasons, which is the same time that they've been in Europe funnily enough

Seems the Spurts new signing 'Modric' has injured himself just before the season starts, that's a bummer
