You're talking even more rubbish than usual Gary - there's no way you've got 14 friends..... :D

Oh, and we'll have Barton back, so Kenwyne better watch that dodgy knee of his....

Pete, can't agree with you....do I ever ?
Of course the mags will be there. This is the biggest game of the season and no matter what is going on at Sid James' the mags will sell their tickets.
As for not turning up, if you remember, our team did not turn up at Sid James earlier in the year and we owe you one for that display.
Haway The Lads !!!!!

The club are saying Kenwyne Jones will not be fit for this match. Damn, I'm looking forward to see him pair up with Cisse.
I think they'll do well together but not it seems against the mags.

I just think Jones' style of play will suit Cisse and that Cisse will benefit from playing alongside Jones.

We should have a few of our walking wounded back for this one, and with the crazy gang spirit courtesy of good old Joe, another victory is surely a formality....

Surely a formality........ of course, why don't we just cancel the game and give you the 3 points.
You know what your arrogance is shocking.

Well you would actually expect them to beat Arsenal - as was pointed out on MOTD the mackem side actually cost a fair bit more to assemble than the arm-pit's this week.

Still took a dodgy disallowed goal to scrape a point though....

You get slated if you can't afford players and slated if you can.
It doesn't matter what you say about our game with Arsenal a draw is progress for us. Progress is what this season is about for us.
To make progress we needed to buy players and did. Can I help it if Cashley won't give his manager's cash for players ?
Wouldn't you have liked some of the guys we've bought?
Arsenal's decision not to spend may cost them and after Whingers comments about us I hope it does.
And remember what we have spent is nowt compared to some.
It has not been proved that their effort that was ruled out was legal so therefore it doesn't stand.
I hope we beat you by a dodgy goal.......sicken you even more !
Martin if this was an attempt to wind me up son you failed completely.

What, your 7-goal-a-season striker is going to be back? Wetting myself here like....

Besides, by the time the derby comes around, JFK will have successfully completed the transformation of Shola "The Fenham Pele" Ameobi into the new Fash the Bash, and goals aplenty will surely follow....

Admit it, you are already! You know if you can't beat us in our current state, with no owner, a dodgy interim manager and injury crisis then you never will....

Plus you can't fall back on the "plucky underdog" excuse this time - reckon your mob will be clear favourites for this one.

Yes you'll have a field day if we don't win but you know everything that has happened to your lot this season goes out of the window in this game.
Anything can happen. If you do get to gloat, I'll just remember the fun and laughter your club has given me and my mates this season ! and think of it as compensation.
We owe you one after Sid James last season and Roy Keane owes us one after getting it horribly wrong in that match.
We expect to repay you and we expect him to repay us.If we do you may as well leave this forum.
Gary

Why's that like - does one victory suddenly make up for the years of defeats, and the fact that you haven't beaten us on your own patch in nearly 30 years??

Imho I think we'll win, as they may have Jones back, but we'll have a decent back 4 for a change :D

Also, we'll have Spiderman back, so our team may look like this:

Given
Beye, Collocini, Taylor, Bassong
Spider, Butt, Gutherie, Zog
Owen, Duff

Martin, not at all, I hope the tide is turning, naturally, and to beat you home or away will go some way towards showing that the tide is indeed turning.I would imagine if we were to win you would probably accept the tide has changed, realise that a lot of your comments and arguments on here are banal and hopefully shut up.
We may not have won at home for some years but we have managed it at your place, lest you forget.
After your lucky escape last season at our place when a draw felt to us like a defeat, I hope we do you this year.
Roy Keane talks about wanting to make progress, beating you at home will be progress won't it ?
Anyway I don't need to explain myself do I ?
Gary

I would have expected a reply to my previous post by now. Maybe the passionate geordies are losing some of their passion. Now let's not forget we are talking about the 8th biggest club in the world, are we not.
It certainly seems that the passion is ebbing away.. Only 900 tickets sold last week for Everton away ( out of an allocation of 2400) We took 5300 to Wigan 4 weeks ago. We will have 5000 at Fulham next week.We have just been given 8000 for Blackburn away !
Newcastle have sold out their allocation for the Stadium of Light but have dropped the number of loyalty points required by an embarrassing amount to do so.
So the tide is turning it seems and no matter what the result in the Derby the tide is definately turning. We are financially sorted for the next 3 years. Keane will sign a 3 year deal.
You said yourself Martin we are no longer the underdogs. It is a Saturday night and I feel like talking footy but I must admit I am very nervous already about this match cos you can't lose can you ?
If we beat you you'll point to the comedy off the pitch and blame that when we both know that has nothing to do with what goes on on the field.
Like I said at the start I expected a reply by now to my previous post, never mind, maybe Martin who is a good old Durham lad and closer to being a Mackem than he'll ever be to being a geordie, has realised this and is moving over to supporting County Durham's team..............
SUNDERLAND AFC.

Gary, Proud to be a Mackem. 8-)

Today I have to report that it seems Overfriendly Martins will be playing in this match
Unfortunately I also have to report that it seems there is a very good chance that there will be trouble after the match.
It appears a large group of some sort of toon gang are spending the afternoon and night in Sunderland even though they are not going to the game.
Now as someone who drinks in Sunderland before and after the game I do not think that is a wise decision.
I predict a riot. Mayhem. They will find that unlike telephone boxes, Mackems fight back!
Apparently it is all organised. Only hope the 16 to 20 of us don't cross their paths as we want to celebrate our victory peacefully !
Gary :iamwin

So what you're staying is that Geordies are allowed to stay in Sunderland for a night out, even if they're not going to the match, what if its a Hen or Stag night out, you mackems going to beat them up for having some fun

As for celebrating your victory peacefully Gary, don't you think you're counting your chickens before they hatch mate :? especially if Martins is going to be back, we'll almost have a decent squad to play you:

Given
Beye, Taylor, Collocini, Bassong (Enrique)
Guteirrez, Gutherie, Butt, Zog,
Owen, Martins (Duff)

Subs: Harper, Duff, Geremi, Xisco, Ameobi, Edgar, Cacapa, Enrique

Gary's getting himself worked up into a proper state about this one mind - goodness knows what he'll be like by match day! :D

Problem he has is, he knows they'll be favourites, he knows they should beat us, but he also knows that they haven't beaten us at home for 3 decades and is terrified they'll find some new and imaginative way to screw it up yet again!

You see, they really have to grab this opportunity, as by the time we visit the dark place again, we'll have a new owner, proper manager (possibly even KK back) and Geordie supremacy will be swiftly reasserted once again.

Little Sunderland, they who've spent more than the TOON is worth over the past 3 transfer windows  :D

Why should we get nervous Gary, the pressure is on your lot to beat us, this is probably the best chance you'll ever have, so if you blow it, what excuses can you find to use

Aye Pete but little Sunderland is how you lot look upon us.
Stop printing your team on here, no matter how many times you do it, it does not scare me.
It's not your lot I'm worried about, it's my lot.
They say the form book goes out of the window in a Derby match so everything that's happened to you clowns won't affect the match.
Let's face it all Kinnear has to say to your team is win this one and the fans will forget the rest of the pantomine.
It's all you've got left for this season, isn't it ?
I will point out to you that little Sunderland have already beaten the Berra and Spurs, but I did not take the mick out of Smurf or Boogs.
Should your lot win I expect the same treatment from you and Martin.
Gary

Is that suppose to be some accomplishment or summit   :smilielol

Is that meant to frighten us into submission :manic

Yes you're right, tactics do go put the window in a derby game but a win is important to us both but more important to you because it doesn't happen than often against the TOON

I'm loving Gary's new-found confidence - will make their inevitable failure taste that much sweeter!

Is dodgy Craig Gordon going to maintain his record of gifting the opposition a minimum of 1 goal per game??

You know what Pete, there's no conviction in your posts, or Martin's for that matter.
Get behind your team, or does this match not mean owt to you.

No conviction :? what you talking about, have I not just said we're going to beat you :?

I'm fully 100% behind my team & back them all the way, win, lose or draw

Even with us in the worst situation the team has been in ever, I'm loyal to them, I may be disillousioned & slightly depressed that it's ended up this way but that doesn't stop me donning my team colours when I go to watch them play, even if some don't as a stand aginst the Directors/Owner, I'm not one of them because I support the players & the club, not those in the Directors box :o

They say in the crap-loids & on SSN that a deal will be struck with-in 6 weeks to foreign owners, wheather that is true or not, we need to take the matches 1 at a time, so up next is the riches club in football, with their £30+m pound players & their £550b owners, so once we've played them & hopefully gets something from it, we'll look at the derby against you lot, where we will get something :D :D

Is that better Gary, a little more conviction in my posting  we can't win can we, if we show conviction, you call us arrogant, if we don't, then you say we don't get behind the team  make your mind up man

Problem I have is, I just have an in-built expectation from my previous experience that no matter what happens we won't lose - after all, the last time you beat us at your place I was only 5 years old, and I can't really remember much from that far back! :D

Well I'll call one clueless and the other damn arrogant.
Pete, you are the clueless one. I've stayed loyal.......it's hardly taxing is it continuing to watch them on the telly.
Martin you are as ever arrogant and dismissive and I'm not going to respond to your posts again on this subject.
Good Evening.

Throwing the towel in already?

By the way, Owen's groin injury is just a tweak it seems, so he should be back in time for this one.

Pete, well I'm shaking in my boots.
His name should be Owen Groin Injury or some bloody injury.
I hope we don't sign him in January.

So 'clueless' is my new name is it, I suppose it's better than arrogant tho

You see what I mean tho, you say we're not backing our team but when we do you call us arrogant or clueless, so we can't win with you Gary

I'm guessing you're not responding to Martin on this post again because he's from the NE & knows more than you do & I'm clueless because I'm not from the NE & don't have the heritage of being a Geordie but I know one thing Gary, I'm probably as fanatical about the TOON, as you are about the Mackems.... :D
