What a shock last night, both the Blue Scousers & the Spurts crash out of Europe on penalties after clawing back from being goals down from their first encounters

I know I'm a TOON fan but it would be nice to see an English club, no matter who it is, win in Europe again, if only to show the rest of Europe we have the best league but until our clubs start winning more & more, we're not gonna be able to say that

Well we#ll never have a better chance of winning the Champions League than this season.
LPool. Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea all left in along with Barca who are not what they used to be, Schalke who are no big shakes, Roma and Fenerbache.
The Turks may be the surprise pasckage but surely an English team will lift it !

Personally I'm quite happy to see English clubs crashing out of Europe (not that I'm bitter or anything! )

Was especially gratifying watching Goldfish Boy miss the key penalty!

Bolton put out a reserve team last night. They must have just realised how difficult their run in is going to be !

That's now been confirmed. Bolton deliberately did put out a reserve team cos they are fighting for their lives.

What Martin means is Jenus left the TOON because he considered it to be a Goldfish bowl & he couldn't handle the pressure so went to the Spurts, only to get them knocked out of the UEFA cup

That was his excuse for leaving Newcastle, said it was like living in a goldfish bowl - lad obviously has a problem handing pressure, as his penalty the other night showed!
