Well there is a turn up for the books. Bristol City live to play another season in Championship

Hull City playing at Anfield, Old Trafford, Stamford Bride and Emirates among others, the mind boggles.

Only time I have been frightened at away games was at Hull. Many of their fans are thuggish so watch out premiership clubs.

I guess this needs to be sporting section but not sure how to dom that so please move it Pete as required.

Chris

Chris,
I find your comments re the 'many' thuggish Hull City fans not only offensive to the club itself but also to the ex-pat Hullites who live in and around the Paphos area.

I have friends and relatives who visit the KC stadium on a regular basis with their children to enjoy a great day out without any problems at all. As with any club that has a large following there will unfortunatley always be a small element who go for reasons other than the game and the experience.

Instead of trying to put the club down, Phil Brown, the players, the managment and the fans should all be congratulated on what is a magnificent acheivment this season.

Perhaps your comments should have read, a small minority and not the 'many'.

Owen

My Apologies Owen

You are quite right it is only a small minority, but when you have been caught up in violence it is frightening experience.

As season ticket holders and attending many away matches over the years Hull has been the only time I have witnessed mass scale thuggery so it sticks with you.

Once again I apologise for any offence and congratulate you on your success.

Chris

Hi Chris,

Being in the away stand at Peyia FC, surrounded by Knife weilding, cosh carrying, gun toting drunken animals, now that's what I call frightening!

Let's not beat about the bush.
Owen, Hull is not a friendly place to visit for an away fan so take your halo off and leave Chris alone.
Well done on getting up. Football violence tends not to grace the Premier League, let'shope your lot from the Silver Cod can come into line.
I do know what I'm talking about, I've been there.

Well if Hulls fans are as bad as people are saying, they will either have to tow the line or be fined & banned from playing in front of their fans, in the end its the team that suffers if they can't control their fans home or away & don't forget one very important thing, they're not a big club & really can't afford to be paying loads out in fines for trouble caused by their fans can they

I don't know what the average attendence records are for Hull but you're in with the big boys now, so when your away fans go to likes of Man Usa, Gunners, TOON, Pool, Mackems, Citey, Chelski, Villa, etc they'll be minnows amongst the big boys

Team Average Attendance
Manchester United 75,691
Arsenal 60,070
Newcastle United 51,320
Liverpool 43,532
Sunderland 43,344
Manchester City 42,081
Chelsea 41,397
Aston Villa 40,375
Everton 36,903
Tottenham Hotspur 35,966
West Ham United 34,601
Derby County 32,432
Middlesbrough 26,709
Birmingham City 26,180
Blackburn Rovers 23,943
Fulham 23,774
Reading 23,532
Bolton Wonderers 20,901
Portsmouth 19,914
Wigan Athletic 19,046
