I was really looking forward to getting to the G&D on Sunday to grab a few beers & watch our boys demolish the Makems at SJP in the NE Derby but I've just realised I won't be able to after all, as I've got a previous engagement which starts at 2pm Its Verity's 40-10th Birthday & we were invited to celebrate this event with Verity & all her friends, so I'm not going to be in the G&D watching the TOON wallop the Makems I will however be recording it on Sky, so I can watch it later on, so I will not be excepting any phone calls, text messages, emails or reading this forum until I've watch the match, as I don't want anyone trying to tell me the final score |

Exactly and fancy coming on here and admitting it. Obviously he's not from up here and just doesn't understand. Mind, it's not very considerate of Verity to organise a do on Derby Day......... but Pete should be man enough to tell her Verity... NO ! Still Martin at least you won't have to put up with him in the G and D ! Oh and do make sure he gets to know the score Gary |

Well he had been something of a Jonah up until recently - took us about 3 months to register a win once he started frequenting the George! Not to worry though, there'll be plenty of us proper mags in there! |

Ah Ah Bloody Ah So you think its that easy do yer, I'll let you tell Verity & Jackie then & see what response you get I can't help being so damn popular that people want me to join their celebrations, if you weren't so 'Jonny no mates' then you'd understand As for being a jonah, if you remember rightly, who's been there every & I mean every match that the TOON lost this season, maybe look in the mirror mate, I wasn't in the G&D when we lost both matches to the Mancs, so you can't blame me for that, it's gotta be either you, Joe or Ron, maybe even Yvonne Anyway, I'm leaving my mobiles at home, so you won't be able to tell me the score |

Guys, I thhink you have missed the biggest point of the whole thread so far. In his first posting Pete told the whole world Verity was about to hit the big 50. Have you ever known a woman be happy when her age is reviealed? I just hope no one PM's her to tell her what he has done Given the fact he is also going to her party if I were him I would keep a tight hold on the crown jewels in case she fancies a new pair of ear rings and decides to use Pete as a donor. Pete you should NEVER reveal a woman's age, especially not on the "tinternet". Anyway getting back to the game, sadly I think the Toon will win, my forecast 3-0 or 3-1. Don't worry Gary, you still have enough points for you to be safe this season. Well Done. Regards. John |
