Apparently, Chelski tried to sign Torres from the Pool in January for £40m but was rejected, so will the Pool accept £1Billion as this article suggests instead: http://www.soccervoice.com/n080513.htm

Now they must be talking 1billion as the Americans say it, which is 100million to us Brits, as I can't see anyone paying £1billion sterling for a footballer, not unless its monopoly money of course :roll: That would be a 10th of Abramovichs personal fortune on 1 player, not in this life mate :smilielol
