After watching both of these players play 45mins each last night, I think I'd have to say Beckham, as all I saw Bentley do was try to showboat & give the ball away no amount of times, at least Beckham is confident in what he does where Bentley was trying too hard imo to show that he can replace Beckham once he's too old to play

What do you think (This is not about the TOON either, so no need to mention us in your replies )

Beckham has 101 caps so is a finished player in his last seasons of football against the new blood of Bentley. If that is the only right side choices, you'd have to keep Beckham until Bentley is more comfortable, confident and relaxed to play in the team, even then he`ll never be Goldenballs !

There are other options in the midfield though.

Oh there are a few right sided players, SWP, Milner, Gerrard can play there, J Cole can play there, Dyer when fit, JJ etc quite a few players

Lennon Yeah but I've heard he's gone off the boil & that's why he's not been in the Capello squad lately

I know thery were only playing against 11 statues on Wednesday but I have to say I thought Beckham played well, his delivery was spot on. I agree totally with Pete's commetn all Bentley did was try to showbaot and fail miserably.

Beckham is obviously not the future of English football but on Wednesday's performance can still do a job for 30 or 40 minutes or so. I think Bentley is his successor, providing someone calms him down and gets his just to play football. As for the others mentions, JJ can do a job (when he is fit), Lennon seems to have gone backwards over the last season and a half, not sure about SWP or Milner at that level and I thought Gerrard did well in his new role on Wednesday so not sure if he would be the answer.

Let's see what side he put's out on Sunday against 2 of the world's footballing giants.
