Is he on his way to Newcastle? If he is, that's another reason to dislike them. What an a**e he is. What's your take ? Gary |

Hi Guys Big Yorkshire News today and 2 hour special phone in on Radio Leeds with Eddie Gray. Wisey interviewed on Sat about rumour and flatly denied all knowledge of moving to Toon., then 2 days later leaves in a few hours. Mixed feeling from fans. Some are shocked as he has moved Leeds to top 3 of league 1 inspite of 15 point deduction. Others glad to see the back of him. Apparently large fat salary awaits at Newcastle, which Ken Bates is unable to match, so lets hope the Toon benefit from his "skills" or I doubt he will stay long. Interesting times Chris |

He's coming in as part of a new continental style structure, all part of bringing the club into the 21st century - all pretty encouraging IMO: Newcastle confirm Wise role New man is executive director By Graeme Bailey Last updated: 29th January 2008 Tuesday's Premier League Action Home Treble - Arsenal, Middlesbrough and Bolton all to win on Tuesday - 4/1. Place your first bet and we'll match it up to £20. Wise: Director role This is all part of the vision that recently helped us to secure Kevin Keegan's return to the club as manager. Chris Mort Newcastle United have confirmed Dennis Wise's role at St James' Park will be that of executive director. Wise quit Leeds United on Monday to take up a new position with Newcastle and the club have now confirmed his title. Newcastle have confirmed Wise alongside two further additions to their management structure. Tony Jimenez has been confirmed as vice-president - but he will play a major part in player recruitment along with new technical co-ordinator Jeff Vetere. Chairman Chris Mort has insisted that manager Kevin Keegan was fully aware of the new appointments - after reports suggested he was shocked by the move for Wise. Vision "This is all part of the vision that recently helped us to secure Kevin Keegan's return to the club as manager," said Mort. "Two of the conclusions of our strategic review, since acquiring the club, were that the club would benefit from having a football person involved at board level, which it has not had historically, and that further senior resources are needed for recruiting players of the highest quality from this country and further afield. "Dennis would like to move away from day-to-day football management to a board role and, with his considerable energy and intelligence, we believe he will do very well in this new position. "With Kevin able to devote his efforts to developing and running the first-team squad, Dennis, Tony and Jeff will each help us to secure success for Newcastle United football club at all levels and for the long-term. One or two further key appointments will follow in the months ahead." |

One thing you can say about Keegan is he is honest. His body language tells you he ain't happy with this. Aren't Wise and Jimenez old buddies and Jimenez is an old buddy of Ashley. I don't understand it. It's good for Newcastle that it appears Wise won't have any contact with their players but is he any better than Keegan at spotting talent. As an ambassador for any club he leaves a lot to desire. |

For what it's worth, I don't disagree with the structure and strategy Ashley was pursuing - he just chose his personnel very poorly. |
