Yes, congratulations.
You can now look forward to losing most of your games, and entering an ongoing relegation struggle. If you do manage to stay up next season then the season after it will be more of the same until eventually the fans who are so excited right now gradually become disillusioned with how impossible it is to break into the select club that has a stranglehold on the top of the league, and may even start to long for happier days in the lower leagues where at least they could enjoy being a big fish in a small pond....
If you're really lucky you might get bought by a random billionaire, who'll bring a selection of ridiculously overpaid foreign mercenaries to wear your shirt and kiss your badge but even that is likely to go wrong soon enough as the detachment between fans and players grows and you find yourself deeply resenting the very players who are supposed to be representing your club....
What an excellent post - couldn't have put it better myself.
Your target (as ours was) is to finish 17th or higher.
You want to win a quarter of you games comfortably and maybe fluke a couple more.
Grind out several goalless draws and get stuffed the rest of the time.
Sheer premiership heaven
