I thought the score flattered us. We let Hull dictate play too much in the first half.
They ( Hull) looked poor in the second.
Anton Ferdinand is a liability.
The good news is Mensah looked good when he came on and I thought Di Silva looked class even though he was out of position at left back.
Turner was as impressive as the Hull fans told me he would be.
The future's bright,
It's red and white.

I'll go as far to say that getting Di Silva on a free transfer is a great bit of business for us.
He played and captained Paraguay twice this week and was the team's outstanding player.
One of those games was a win against Argentina.
He plays the game with a smile on his face and I think this is shrewd business by Brucey.
Did you know that Mensah is Vice Captain of Ghana ahead of folk like Appiah,Essien and his nickname is "The Rock".
I think Ghana could do well at the World Cup.
I look forward to seing these two gel with Turner and the rest of the team.

Quote:
Sunderland's Chairman is today on the brink of sensationally quitting the Premiership club. He is becoming increasingly disillusioned at the failing attendances.

He was overheard in the boardroom on Saturday remarking to Hull Chairman Paul Duffen 'I have spent over £100 million the last few years and we still can't get 40,000 even after you lot bring 3000 up, if Newcastle get more next Saturday then I will have to quit'

Surely not??

Yea Disco watched the game and I thought we were not that good for the first half hour or so, the new players played well but I think once again we are loosing our markers on corners and set pieces I think one of the new defenders lost his marker for their goal. Bent was class, Campbell you can see he has great talent tricky player will turn any defender inside out with his trickery, Turner a rock at the back, and here we go again fxxking Richardson poor again man is it me but I cant see why he gets a game week in week out awful.

ps Doesn'T the chairman know there is a recession on but lets face Hull City not a big club to watch!!.

I see Martin's had one of his regular digs at our attendance.
I suppose it's the only front on which his club from a much bigger city, can compete with us.
I am bamboozled why the crowd was so poor. It looked to me as if there was more than that in the stadium. Hull did not have 3k there by the way.
Make the most of it Martin, I predict our crowds will steadily rise when the team gels.
As for Richardson, he is so inconsistent. If we get a decent bid in we should sell him.

Ah yes, the "England Band" - they are pretty annoying, but not a patch on that bloke at Pompey with his sodding bell!
