I brought a brand new MX Pro box over from the UK but can get absolutely nothing from it showing on the TV (which is also a DVD player).

I have connected it up exactly the same as the one I have in the UK with the HDMI cable and switched the TV to HDMI and that is showing on the screen is a black screen with HDMI on it.

The MX PRO box will switch on and off with the remote. but that is all.

I am kicking myself for not testing the box before leaving the UK. Has this happened to anyone else, or any ideas if it could be the box, the cable or the TV that is at fault - or am I doing something so obviously daft??

Thanks

JohnB

Is it connected to the internet through WiFi or the Ethernet cable from your incoming ISP?

I'm guessing you're signed into your internet account?

It is not connected to the internet at all, I may do, but really want it to play mini sd cards that I have recoded in the UK.
I have tried unplugging and repluging the HDMI cable.

Still no success.

Just to let everyone know, our friendly neighbourhood computer geek from 'Blue Net' has solved it. All due to the resolution :woohoo
