This is my first entry onto pp and having been to the launch, which we enjoyed very much, I am going to test you on a problem that I have, just to see how good you are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have Yahoo mail and for the last two weeks I cannot 'reply' or 'forward' any emails. Every time I do I receive a message saying I have an Error 999.

I have emailed Yahoo who suggested I check with my Internet provider, which I have, and nobody can come up with a solution to my problem.

Is there anybody out there that can assist a frustrated female - oophs with my computer problem I hasten to add!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mandy, and welcome to PP!

999 is a generic Yahoo error message, and it seems they're having some wider problems at the moment - there are a couple of suggestions for things to try here:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... 048AAjCahp

Another option is to set your Yahoo account to deliver into Outlook/Outlook Express if you have either of them?

Instructions here:

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/o ... op-06.html

Good luck!

Thanks everyone for your help. At least it has put my mind at rest that I am not eaten up with viruses!!!! Although this has been going on for at least two weeks now, I have found a way round it by deleting the four or so lines at the top of the 'reply' or 'forward' emails that informs one of the senders details. I am still not happy about doing this but if it helps to 'reply' or 'forward' then I suppose it will have to do for the moment - will it ever end though!!!!!!

Trish thanks for the offer, I have read the links which were very useful and it has put my mind at rest that my computer isn't eaten up by some bug or another!!!!! I will just carry on the way I have to get round the problem and will see what materialises!!!!!
