When you say vanish .... what do you mean? I have Nile Sat too and I have about 15 English channels that are on around the clock (e.g. Fox Movies, Fox Series, BBC world etc) but there are some that only brpadcast for 12 hours and then there are some that are subscribtion based..... Can you give a couple of examples? |

Hi Gareth We have had Nilesat for about 2 years with no problem. We have all MBC channels, Fox Movies, Fox Series, Dubai One and lots of arabic channels. All channels are working o.k during daytime. Around 6pm MBC, Fox etc go off and states on screen that this channel is scrambled/no audio visual. Any ideas? |

Hi Jo, You shouldn't be having any problems with Nilesat as it's one of the strongest satellites up there. Loss of signal could be due to a number of reasons such as the weather, a intermittent LNB, tuner, loose dish or even the cable from the dish itself. Try seeing if it's happening when something else is going on such as strong winds, bad cloud cover, is it the same time of day etc. If it's only certain channels it could be that they have moved transponders such as City 7 recently but doing a search will show this. |

Hi Jo, I concur with Eric. I have no issues (albeit on a temp basis due to bad weather) on Fox Movies, MBC etc. Is someone tapping into your satellite? Not an expert in Sat Comms but it does sound strange to me as I have had a great experince thus far over the last 3 months. |
