Just bought the above but the keyboard is too sensitive so my touch typing is all over the place. Is there any way to disable the mousepad so I can use an external mouse instead as i think I must be touching the mousepad somehow?
Suggestions please.

Press Fn + F7 to disable.

I find the keyboard very sensitive and difficult to use as a touch typist. I have therefore bought a wireless mouse and keyboard which works for me.

I agree with Tarrah on Fn F7 however after every reboot it returns to normal.

I suggest you download the later driver from Touchpad Synapatics V8 2.9.0 XP

You can then auto disable the touchpad when a mouse is detected.

I have an Aspire and it worked for me

I have an Acer which was too sentative for me, and I got an IT Expert in who disconnected my internal touch pad. My problem was that I was touching it during my typing as all jumbled up words were appearing. It is now fine with just the mouse.
