Hi, I've got a Humax Foxsat HD PVR which picks up all the non-subscription SD and HD Freesat channels in the UK. I got it to replace my Sky HD digibox, and as I say, it works perfectly in the UK.

My question is: if I connect it up to a 2.7m dish in Paphos, will it work and what channels will I get?

Kevin

Just to clarify, its a HDR, not a PVR.

Its a Freesat HD satellite receiver, so will receive 99% of the free channels that can be picked up by a Sky HD digibox.

Does anyone use a box other than Sky?

I still have my humax box , but it is now retired here in Cyprus not worth having since the new sat went up .

Filmon on the iPad or lg mobile phone now my source for UK tv , both perfect on 42"tv via hdmi cable.

I use a Freesat box with usb for recording connected to a 3M Sky dish, 85cm Nilesat dish and a 1M motorized dish and can tell you that you will get approx 60 channels.
The ones in English are Men&Movies, Movies4Men, Pick TV (+1), Challenge TV (+1), Sky News, Information TV, Community TV and Some Shopping Channels from the Astra (Sky) Satellite.
