I want to connect my Ipad 1 to my HDTV. I have seen that an adaptor can be got that converts from the Ipad output socket to an HDMI. I can get it in the UK but am looking for somewhere closer. ie Paphos. Does anyone know anywhere?

Cheers

I think what you need is called 'Apple T.V.' . Stephanis are very helpful, and probably have them.
Past the traffic lights along from the Law Courts, opposite the new municipal offices.

Cheers, guys.
I thought about the AppleTV but all we wanted was a connection to the TV. The options we have covers us for most things. Filmon is almost HD quality on an Ipad so I am trying to mirror it on the TV. (Checking over the forums it is looking like only the Ipad 2 will mirror) and that has to be jailbroke).

Sorry I can not answer your question re the iPad 1

But I can confirm that my iPad 2 will mirror filmon to my big screen tv via the apple tv box, neither apple devices are jail broke.

Try Computer SOS in Chlorakas (opposite Paps).
Ask for Brian, he is very helpful.

You are quite right an iPad 1 will not mirror through the cable and at the moment there is no facility to use the Filmon App through the cable that you mention.

You're only alternative is to stream Filmon through ATV or upgrade your iPad to a later version that will support mirroring. Alternatively an Android device may work.

Sorry for the bearer of bad news.

Cheers,

Jon

Thanks for all you help. The situation is much as I thought so my wife will still have to watch on the pad if she want HD. I am going over to Chlorakas so will have a chat with the shop. I have been there before and they are helpful.

Cheers guys
