We haven't had SKY direct satellite in Cyprus for more than a year now, so who cares??!!.
Most of us now use a MAG Box and NTV as IPTV provider, for all UK TV channels and all
SKY channels.
The recent upspeed of the internet locally by CYTA has been a most welcome development
for IPTV etc.

Neil,I wasn't saying NTV was the only IPTV provider or indeed the best.
As I understand it the sponsor you refer to also offers an IPTV service.
Just pointing out to Mr Novak that direct SKY satellite no longer available here.

What? No more SKY!

The only sky I'm interested in is this one:

good news unless NTV start having buffering problems due to the take going to spain as its a lot closer to their dutch servers

That is useful if you are using servers within the country ,so would be great in FRANCE/UK/GERMANY but as the traffic for UKTV
is external, then it makes no difference if you have 10,100,500mb coming in locally .

I use a mag 250 box , but not NTV , it has been known to go down now and then ,
I have used UKTV (IPTV) for some time now and its just like watching HD quality TV back in the uk ,
they even have 3D movies for those that have 3D TV`s and never a buffer or stick .

We use an android box (Kodi system) - very little buffering and we watch live tv (through FilmOn), movies, tv series all using the Genesis app. We paid €95 for the box here in Limassol - no subscription required and no VPN either.

We don't have Catchup service but we can get all we want to watch on Genesis.

We'll certainly be taking it with us when we head back home to UK next year.

So, Paul, what was the point of your thread about direct satellite service from the SKY satellites?
Geoff.
