Please, does anyone know of a way to polish surface scratches out of brushed stainless steel, what to use I mean?

Hi Fiona,
Unfortunately there isn't really any way of doing this.
The "brushed" effect is actually scratches that all run in the same direction, so the only chance you would have would be to "re Brush" in the same direction as the original. Unfortunately you would need to find the same grit abrasive that was used in the first place. To make things worse a lot of so called brushed stainless items are NOT actually stainless steel at all and are lacquered mild steel. Therefore if you try to polish out the scratch you will remove the protective lacquer
and expose the surface which will then rust.
A quick simple test for stainless steel is to use a magnet. Ordinary mild steel is magnetic. Stainless steel isn't.
