after years of waiting and the excitment of the last few months, now, with 4/5 days left i find myself questioning the move!

Did anyone else feel this way in the days befor the move?

A big move like this will sometimes freak a lot of people out, but don't worry about it.

Get yourself over here, enjoy the experience, never look back, only forwards!

Absolutely not!! We are here to stay and wouldn't dream of going back to the UK. This really feels like home - and is home!

It is a big move, so it is bound to throw up all sorts of emotions. Even though you want it, and have planned it, actually doing it is taking a leap of faith. Until you live the life, you won't know whether it is really for you.

Just accept these emotions, enjoy yourself in the process, and take things as they come.

You will be fine.

Thanks guys :D

I think its just the enormity of it all hitting me again! The landlord phone today to arrange to collect the keys on friday night! We'll be homeless until sunday when we get keys for house in Peyia! scary :?

I have done so much, packing, sorting and binning but i look around and it hardly seems to have changed! i'v still got so much to do!

I know once we touch down, I will be fine, its all just so daunting at the moment! :manic :help

Have a nice glass of vino collapso. I found it worked wonders when the panic suddenly set in.

You will be a-okay to go again after you have had a relax.

Lolly

I felt exactly the same - was I doing the right thing? Did I really know what I was doing? Now the question is, did I do the right thing? And the resounding answer is Yes, I did.

It's perfectly natural. Just take a deep breath, another glass of vino collapso, and get yourself over here.

You'll be fine - it's a big move and it's certainly normal to question something so life-changing. Try and relax and enjoy it - you're going to be doing so much exciting new stuff over the next few weeks and months, meeting new people etc you'll soon be settled!

I think it is only a natural feeling so don't worry and just think you will be in your house on Sunday. :hurray :grouphug

Lolly, just grab this new life with both hands and give it your best shot. Just think of all the support you have had and will continue to have. You have planned this, sorted out somewhere to live and jobs - a great start that many don't have. If it does turn out that it is not for you then you will have tried your best. Somehow I think it will be fine for you. I haven't got any of those doubts yet as I am still on cloud nine, but I may well get them nearer to the time. I may not, as I have planned this move for 20 years and am in the fortunate position that I don't have to work if I don't want to.

So, go girl, keep up the determination and see you in about 18 days when I expect you will be saying "I don't know what I was worried about".

Hi Lolly

Just think of all the lovely times ahead of you in Cyprus. I'm sure everyone who has already made the move went through exactly the same emotions as you are going through.

Its a roller coaster of emotions the excitement, the concerns etc. When you step of that plane I bet you have a big smile on your face.

BTW Peyia is beautiful and sunny today, a gorgeous blue sky awaits you.

Lolly,

I can understand your feelings, as I've done this twice now, once with the military & this time for good but just think of one thing , all the great people you've met on PP that are waiting to meet you in person once you get over here :D :D

You'll have the support of all of the members & you'll make great friends with & whom are in the same boat as you, new to the island but soon you'll be giving other members this advice too
