I've just watched a poor little bird fly right into my glass door. Wee thing looked ever so embarrassed - strutting about on the doormat like he meant it! I kept expecting it to keel over - but it was clearly just a bit put out!

That's the second time I've seen a bird do that.

I saw a pigeon do that some years ago & it broke its neck :(

I don't suppose it felt too clever

I think my bird was just cruising - it was a soft thud. Looked like he was showing off to the laydeeees!

My brother is a window cleaner, he does many shops etc,
one of his clients (deals on wheels showroom)
had to get grey strips put on the windows, simon said
after he has the windows cleaned he has about 3 customers a week that walk into the glass..
he complained to my brother , that he had trouble selling someone a car , after he had wet himself laughing at them walking onto the glass

Neil! I've just spat my coffee over the desk!!! I'm still giggling imagining them walking into the doors!

If it was me, I'd just leave with my head hung in shame!

Back in the UK, I used to have fantastic 'images' of the birds that used to fly into the bedroom window and the patio doors downstairs. Never saw any dead birds I am pleased to say

Dont know if i should admit to this, but i walked into a patio door once in Portugal, broke the glass, and had 5 stitches in my nose!

No stickers on the door, glass thin as paper! Hubbie dropped me and the girls off at the holiday apartment, we had just arrived, and rushed in excitedly, I decided to go to the balcony to wave to hubbie so he could see where we were, and walked straight into the door, then had to stop Hannah who was only 3 from picking up the glass.

I was well looked after at the hospital, stitching done by a plastic surgeon, and there is very little scarring. sprayed me with yellow spray on skin stuff - looked gorgeous!
Was told not to get the sun on it, so spent the next 2 weeks under a big floppy hat. Every time we went into a bar or restaurant, you could see the nudges. Think they thought I was a battered wife.

Just escaped further injury on the beach when the toddler Hannah thought i had a spider on my nose and decided to swat it with a spade.

In spite of all this we managed to have a lovely holiday and did return to Portugal.

Anyway those little stickers are worth their weight in gold. :banghead
