I'm just glad I'm not related to the

murderer in Physco.

His name was Norman Bates.

Now that I've reached the staus of "Master"

as far as posts are concerned................

I'll have to post lots & lots to get past

this stage.....

Molly, Molly, Molly. MASTER JGG is just pleased that his surname is not BATES - hence the reference to Norman Bates. Otherwise he would now be known as .......

Get it now?

Jokes loose their impact when you have to spell them out, don't they?

I worked for a large company in the UK that went into liquidation - the senior HR officer was called Bates - bet you can guess what we all called him!

Anyone remember the kids cartoon TV programme from the 70's - Captain Pugwash - that used to be on just before the early evening news on BBC1?

There was a whole compliment of double take names on there.

Of course there was Master Bates, but there was also a seaman staines, but please don't forget about poor Roger the cabinboy.

The guys making that programme at the time must have had a right old laugh to themselves getting away with the cartoon running for so long, before eventually being "pulled", no pun intended, by the BBC when they realised what was going on.

to get back to the start of the thread I pointed out this possibility to Pete in the ' Honours System' thread two weeks ago
He said it was 'just for fun' and I took that to mean the 'Honours System' but now I'm thinking . . . . . .
