Just had a phone call - the conversation went like this
caller - hello, is that Mrs B......
me - yes (it's Miss actually, but it's easier to say yes than argue )
caller - we have a survey team in your area and wondered if you'd like us to give you a quote
me - which company are you?
caller - Weathershield th
Me (cutting her off) - No thank you
caller - Oh
Me - Byee
She sounded really surprised when I said No, but at least I was polite - it could have been a lot worse.
I went to La Fontaine yesterday, and they were in the entrance with their clip boards - one approached me, and said "Do you own your own home?" (cheeky mare), Yes, I said, and I certainly don't want you anywhere near it!
So I've been cold called - now I don't feel left out of it by all you others.
