As some of you will know, once Mrs DP and I decided to move to your island late 2009/early2010, we both agreed to visit other places for hols until then.
We are going (hopefully) to Skiathos in June. We have booked a hotel independantly and also booked two seats to fly with XL. I have read on a couple of other sites of XL cancelling flights altogether or changing days of flights and airports this summer. Don't know what their problem is.
I've been trying to reserve extra leg room seats for ages now and have been completely fobbed off by them. When you ring them you hear a pre recorded message telling you how great they are, that's a joke.I've been spun from pillar to post and cut off twice and am still no nearer reserving the seats !

I emailed customer services/complaints and received a reply telling me they'll deal with it in the next 6 weeks, impressive eh?
They've now taken my phone number and said they'll ring me when they are in a position to deal with my request ?
I bet they will. I'm beginning to smell a rat.
My request can't be that difficult can it ?
Gary

I booked with xl last year for 16th - 23rd March, but they changed the flights to Eurocypria, with completely different times, we fly back at 7am, so lose a day.
WE also booked originally with Travelcity direct for Orlando in June, for my daughters Carly's 21st(same company as XL) booked early to get a great price, and then they cancelled the flight In October, by this stage I couldnt get a price anywhere near, and couldnt move the date due to Hannahs GCSES, and prebooked acommodation. It ended up costing over a thousand pound more !
Cheek of it is Travel City keep spamming me with adverts.

I hope I'm wrong but I think they are having some probs and I hope the probs don't affect our flights.
If they change your flight times, airport or dates of departure they shouldn't be able to get away with it.

We flew to Cyprus via Geneva with them, as one of their planes had had an accident, and we had to wait for passengers from Gatwick to travel up to Manchester before we set off. Common site at Paphos Airport used to be pizzas from Pizza Express being brought in for XL travellers.

My mum flew out here last May with XL and had a good flight over which landed on time. Going home was a different story and yes she did get her pizza. This year coming with Flythomas cook so hopefully will be better. We had no problems with them at xmas.
The teasing that my mum got with xl was my son made it stand for extra large and hubby got in on the joke. They nearly got clouted by mother in law/grannie

When i have flown with them, i have not really had any problems, they are hot on charging excess baggage, but they do seem to change times and cancel more than the norm.
