As you more than likely saw , I posted the other day that this was the first week of the new tourist season.
Well I did sit on the balconey last night and watch the planes come in,
I can tell you this, there was a bloody lot of them , so lets hope this is the start of a better year than last year, for all who are connected with the tourist income, good luck

Well as my shop wasn't open last year at this time, maybe they've all heard of my awesome stuff & are flocking in to get some before I run out

Saying that though, its only 2 weeks until my special offers end, so any PP members who want a discount better hurry up & buy now

NOPE!

still no access to the front door of the shop...........

and they haven't started the laying of the granite or slabs
near us yet.

ASAP I will let you know, cos I might have a cocktail party
for the opening.

We have started cleaning & dusting our shop now, hoovering and mopping the shop floor also.

We want to get ready for opening as soon as we can.

But as per the norm in Cyprus, someone throws a " spanner in the works ".

We were told today that not only is Posedonious Avenue getting upgraded...........

BUT

also negotiations are underway to upgrade the 2 squares on the seafront
ie. the one with Cy-Dive and the other with Pizza Express.
This will ( if it happens ) certainly delay any opening for a number of businesses.

And contrary to any rumour " NO COMPENSATION " is or will be given to those affected........

its not very fair on the shop owners
this being the easter weekend, you could have picked up a bit of trade. :(
now if they decide to upgrade the courtyards, you could be closed even longer

Regarding the Chinese workers ( experts ) coming over
to lay the blocks and who seemingly had problems with
their visas !!

I heard that this was not the case.
The problem was with the local unions
who questioned why the workers were
coming from China and why local builders
etc could not be used..

The "Bulgarians" who are doing the work
now, as far as I've been told are local
Pontiacs..
