Hi Everyone,

Yes, I arrived back at 5 am this morning and am feeling a little tired to say the least. Well, never mind because Guy is taking me out for a posh lunch

I have had a fantastic trip and can't tell you how good it was to meet so many of you. What a lovely crowd we are :celebrate . I have now got to concentrate on all the things that have to be done by the 21st April (when the furnitures goes) and can't wait to see everyone again, plus those who I didn't get a chance to meet.

A busy three weeks ahead of you then Tina. It will soon pass, and then you will feel strange when all your worldly goods are bobbing around the Bay of Biscay (is that how it's spelt?).

You will soon be here, settling into that house in Narnia. Give me a shout if you need a hand when you get here. I have coffee and GF food to keep you going.

Hi Tina!

Glad to hear you had a good time, and you did look very well on the pics from Friday night!

Looking forward to reading your moving diary, I do hope you can find the time to keep it up in between all the packing etc.

Three weeks is not very long, you will soon be there! Lucky thing!

Pam :D

Hi Tina

Lovely to hear from you again, we have missed you.

Has Mia settled into her new life. I hope you managed to relax a little in between all your planning and preparation.

Everyone looked to have enjoyed the Taverna night.

I am really looking forward to meeting you and others and am looking to booking myself an earlier flight than mid may, probably mid April and staying for 10 weeks.

Will I get bored as most of my time will be in Peyia without hubby? I like to go to the Gym and love my own company, sitting in the harbour with my lunch and book, but do hope I can meet some of you lunching and coffee meeting girls, as whilst I am a little shy at the outset of meeting new people, I am a very sociable and extrovert person, when in comfortable company. You folk certainly look like comfortable company!!!

Chris

Chris, I am sure you won't be bored. We will all make sure of it!!!!

Sam & Mia have settled well. Mia had a bit of a shaky start to school last Monday, but by Thursday was back to her happy self. It must have been very strange for her and she was upset that she wasn't in the class with her friends as she had expected. But she is fine now, loaded down with books and homework and eagerly picking up the language, although only a little so far. She is having greek lessons two days a week after school and I am sure that by the time I get back out in May she will be ready to teach me!!!! I miss her already of course, which is probably more to do with the fact that they lived with us for the last 3 months in the UK.

They both seem very relaxed and happy. Their little house is perfect for them. Sam has got a job (from the 1st interview) and starts next Monday so al in all things are going to plan so far. Sam did have one hiccup though, as a Cypriot builder decided to reverse at speed into her new baby jeep which may or may not be a write off. And she has only had it for 2 weeks. It could have been worse though, as she had 3 children in the car at the time. The good news is that he admitted full liability to both the police and the insurance company. Fingers crossed they can repair it as she loved the little car.

Look forard to meeting up with you Chris in May. I will be nipping down to Peyia often to see Sam & Mia. PM me a little closer with your contact details and I will let you have mine. Remember I might be without internet access in about three weeks, even though we don't fly until 14th May. Conputer will be on the high seas somewhere

Trish - just a Mum? One of the most priviledged jobs in all the world IMHO.

I have been a nurse and midwife, but that is hardly good conversation for everyday chat, is it? Job titles don't make a person. Those who are impressed by people's careers are usually shallow people who don't interest me anyway. "Just" a Mum will do fine.

Don't worry. I am sure you have lots to chat about once you get going. And we tend to just put the world to rights most of the time anyway.

Thank you all for your responses, I am really looking forward to my time with you.

Tina so glad Mia and Sam have settled in, the only reason I am presently not wanting to permanently live in Peyia is because of my daughter. I would also miss my 2 boys, James and Jonathan but Emma my daughter is my soul mate, so you must be pleased that Sam is settling OK. They are always your babies even though they have children of their own. I will be in touch with you when I have my new plane ticket bought.

Yes Verity I will bring my social diary with me and am looking forward to chatting to you. I lived in Shrewsbury when I first married, where I think your boys are now?. I guess we have a lot in common with our values of nursing.

Chris

Chris, I worked at the Royal Shrewsbury as a midwife. There are so many of us we could form a splinter group within PP - The Paphos People Nursing Association.

Not an exclusive group though. We would let guests in - like the rest of the PP forum. :D

Tina Great to have you back

So glad that Sam and Mia are settling in - rotten luck about the car though - still they are all ok that is the main thing.

I fly out for my hols on 14th so we will be arriving at the same time - sadly though I can only stay for 2 weeks unlike you who is going for good you lucky thing :D

I hope you have time to do your moving diary as I love reading it - but I expect you have loads to do now !

Good luck with it all

Julie x

Thanks Julie, and you are absolutely right. We did manage to clear one room yesterday - Mia's playroom!!!!! What a mess (bless her). First load going to the tip today, even though we have a skip arriving at the end of the week. Won't be big enough

Hope we can meet up during your 2 weeks.
