We are going for it, Neil. The meat is prepared. The salad is done. The beetroot is boiled. The dips are ready - apart from the tzatziki which I can throw together in a blink. I have hoovered the rug where the dog ate her chew this morning. The floors are mopped and the toilet is clean. The cake is baked. The patio has been sluiced with Jeyes fluid and the tables have been moved round the side out of the wind (it does get blowy in Narnia). "Batton down your lettuce" reverberates across the Akamas.
All we need now is the weather to clear up and our mates to arrive, and we have a party!
Jackie is going to wear layers and bring her coat. Living up in Tsada she knows what it can be like up in them thar hills.
We are British, for God's sake. A bit of inclement weather won't put paid to a barbeque.
