The UK inflation rate has returned to 10.1%, with the cost of living rising at its fastest rate in 40 years, official figures show.

Inflation - a measure of price rises - saw an increase in the 12 months to September, up from 9.9% in August, the Office for National Statistics said.

Soaring living costs are eating into household budgets, with prices rising faster than wages.

The Bank of England has said inflation could peak at 11% this year.

September's inflation figures are usually used to calculate next April's rise in the state pension and the increase in some benefits.

It is unclear, however, if the government still intends to stick to this policy or cut down on its spending by increasing payments by a lower level by linking the rise to wages instead.

Truss said she was "completely committed" to raising pensions in line with inflation, per the "triple lock" guarantee. :clapping :celeb2

Liz Truss and Chancellor Jeremy Hunt jointly agreed to guarantee that the state pension rises with inflation next year - thereby maintaining the "triple lock" - ahead of PMQs this morning, Downing Street says.

In a huddle with reporters after PMQs, the prime minister's official spokesman said the decision reflected the "unique position" of pensioners who are "unable to increase their earnings through work".

The preamble is that truss is ousted, Chunt takes over as PM, Sunak returns to Chancellor. and chabamb, the WEF has a fully registered and subscription team in place to follow the mould of Canada.

Mr Chunt is married to a lady who has a TV programme in China and is paid by them!
He has massive investment in CCP products.
He supports and has supported lockdowns destroying the UK economy
He supports all digital currencies
He supports digital ID and control in the style of CCP
Sunak is a multi billionaire with no connection to the UK public including tax and residence payment cards and his wife is even worse.

Why would anyone have any faith in these people. They have gone past the stage of being parasites and are now invasive in every part of your life.

Sadly the other options in UK are just as bad but the changes will be in place before any election.
