Come to end of my tether with cyta on my so easy SIM on my tablet , they have made a new " my cyta " app , new look , all improved ! The new app has decided to register it's self on my cyta contract no. And the concept of someone have 2 numbers is too much. I guess if I replace my phone with an iPhone, tablet with an iPad and pc with a Mac then I guess all would be fine . Strikes me cyta 's eqipment is harmonised to the latest i products.
Looking to throw away cyta SIM, any good suggestions for an alternative provider to get a pay as you go mobile data SIM

I have tried most of the mobile providers - Epic seem to be the best so far.

Primetel - coverage seems to be limited, data caps etc
CYTA - I personally use a contract sim, plus a PAYG sim.
EPIC - I have a few on unlimited data contract, found them to be very good on coverage, speed and reliability. Also, you can have a multisim deal where you can have 2 sims on the same number, the 2nd sim is about 3 euros per month - great if you need data like in an alarm etc.
Caution - if you have a PAYG sim, and use data make sure you BUY the data in the Epic APP, because your credit will be gone otherwise. I made that mistake, a speedtest cost me 10 euros!

Regards

Digby

Cheers for that Digby, I have resolved one problem. The app is little more than an iPhone advertising platform with the data you want cleverly hidden behind big full screen glossy pictures . If you go into my cyta via the web address and not the app the result is quite different , little advertising and the data you want right there! A clear case of" scrap the app" I used the you tube app once , never again.
I suspect running Android 7.1.1 doesn't help me much.
I bought a nokia225 4g this week , a step up from my 5 year old €25 Nokia. It is 4g and has opera mini 4.4 and face book , my phone number I keep for voice and text , so I put a so easy SIM into SIM 2 and configured preferences for SIM 1 voice and sms and SIM 2 for data . Both Sims are registered and connected , sometimes 3g sometimes 4g but despite it downloaded and installed opera mini it won't connect to internet ! The access points seem preconfigured and no chance to alter.
Went to cyta shop guy admitted he didn't understand it as it was not iOS!
I realise the connection will be slow and restricted but I had hoped it would work ! Guess I lost €2 for SIM card and €10 for credit .

Update from this afternoon, opera now seems to work! It would help if opera were to make available installation/ configuring instructions. By poking and fiddling I found connection protocol http or socket , no idea what socket is but I selected it and suddenly operacwas downloading . When I saw http before I didt change it ! Why would I? Everything is http !
When I bought phone should have bought crystal ball too !
