Post subject:  puppy in need of home

Hi guys dont know if i have put this in the correct area!!

But desparetly searching for a good home for a wee springer spaniel puppy, male, black and white, 11 weeks old free to someone who can give him the love he needs.

My friend took him in without thinking how much work is required in training a puppy nevermind giving him the company he needs, she is at work full time and this is not good for Harley.

He is adorable, i would love to have him but i have two already, but would love to give him the happy ever after he is hoping for :(

Any takers please get in touch asap

Kind Regards

Bubbles

Wish you luck rehoming him Lisa.

Sorry can't help out with two of my own and not working things are tight at the moment, plus Steve would have kittens if I brought another dog into the house.

Hope you find someone who wants him. Have you had a word with Ruth at PARC so that she can keep her ears open. It is a long shot I know, but it is worth a try.

hiya guys

No luck yet with finding Harley a home i am sorry to say, thankyou so much for your support, i know i am a soft touch having two of my own and also puppy sitting two more but i am now on my way to collect Harley who has now been banned from the house, feeling very cold and lonely no doubt poor wee mite!
I will get a picture once he has been cleaned and warmed up and add it to the thread in hope someone will love him, as i have been told by hubby... 'no more'
Will keep you all posted, but please if you hear of anyone looking for a puppy think of Harley.
Candy great idea contacting Ruth cant get hold of her yet though, but two heads are better than one!!

Lisa,

If crunch comes to a shove, perhaps I could help out and foster him until a home comes up (providing my two will accept him in the interim).

Can we start a donation fund as I am not in a position to do all the necessary money wise to make sure he is innoculated etc.

I am quite capable of training him, including house training, lead training etc so would help out if necessary.

Any takers on donations? I know I have a cheek but needs must and if I can help the poor fella out I will do.

Since I have all the time in the world at present why not.

If I could have him I would do providing he got on with the girls, but circumstances at present are not ideal to take on a third dog.

Thankyou ever so much for your support i could not possibly ask you of this, what about your hubby having kittens?

My hubby is reluctantly offered to go and pick him up, yeh soft touch too but wont budge on keeping him we have our hands full with what we have and two young kids to feed, i know how you feel with the money situation!

Have a real think first and chat with hubby i will clean Harley up and add a picture in the mean time hun, i would help with a donation until we find somewhere for him.

Get back to me if you are really sure hun, and can deal with letting him go when the time comes, because he is so so cute :)

It has nothing to do with hubby - let him have kittens then we will have a house full.

He firstly said I could not have one dog, then he wanted another one and Koo Koo is his dog really - shame I am the one that takes them out for walks 99.5% of the time.

Seriously though if you need help I am willing. If anyone has a puppy pen they could lend me then that would be great as then at least I know the furniture won't be chewed to bits and if that happened all hell would break loose.

Trish you have a heart of gold. Now with your luck at the moment it could turn for the better. You foster pooch and you get a job offer. Bob

Hi all

I have managed to find someone who would love to welcome Harley although they are in the proccess of moving home and where they are at the moment does not have a garden so i am keeping him until they are ready, i dont want to uproot him until it is settled, he has been through so much already dumped by two owners now!
He is a dear little pup and is quite happy here with my dogs at the moment i just hope in six weeks time the people dont change their minds, i am a bit lost what to do??
Advice?? do you all think i should keep going on here hoping someone definate comes along or wait and hope he may be homed in 6 weeks, Help please, i really cant have three dogs!!
I will upload a picture tonight Captain Fantastic so you can have a wee peek...maybe he could possibly melt your heart

Kindest Regards

OMG. How tempting. Look at his little face.

All being well I will be back at work in a couple of weeks so I can't take him. Plus we said we wouldn't have any more pets!

Hope someone gives him a home for life.

He is absolutely gorgeous. How sure are you of these people as it doesn't sound as if you are. It might be better to keep plugging him but there again if you should find someone else what will the other people think. Dilema that one.

The lady i got the pup from said her ex boyfriend would be interested but in 6 weeks, but i am sure he would not hold a grudge if someone wanted him now at the end of the day it is what is best for Harley and i want to make sure he comes first, he cant possibly go through anymore heartache surely!

Ps... dont look at Harleys tail it is a sorry state, the vet had to shave it all as he was covered in paint and all matted!
I keep telling him not to worry it will grow back!

I bet he is feeling really sorry for himself. How did he manage to get covered in paint?

I hope the ex boyfriend is nothing like the lady, if that's what you can call her.
How can she possibly let this little chap go, he's absoluteley gorgeous, especially knowing he has already been dumped before, and ban him from the house too :(
People are so heartless :x

Lisa, I would let him go if I was you, that's if you definateley can't keep him yourself, to whoever comes first, as long as they pass the criteria of having a dog and that this will be a 'lifetime' home, no matter what!

I would never dream of letting any of ours go. Rather rehome the hubby!!!!!!
I only had a kitten for a night, turned up on our doorstep, luckily Ruth at PARC had a home waiting for her but it was heartbreaking to let her go, that was just after one night!

I hope you find him a good home soon

I am a tiny bit tempted (especially with the little fella being black & white and everything!) but I'm going to have to resist - my working circumstances have changed so much in the last 6 months I can't be sure what's ahead so such a long-term commitment probably wouldn't be a brilliant idea! :(

I'm sure you'll find a taker though, even if the current potential one doesn't work out.

Thanks for the support guys and please if you know of anyone or hear of someone looking, Harley is waiting very patiently!

Trish i really dont know what happened to his tail i just know he was in a poor state of affairs.

How some people can be so mean is beyond me... Heartless! :(

If my children saw that photo they would be asking to have him immediately. We had a wonderful lab when in UK and they understood that she had to stay due to our first house being a flat but they still talk about her. When we were in uk at xmas they were all over their grandparents labs and I felt really guilty about leaving ours but she went to a great home and I know she is happy.
Anyway I am hiding this from them as they keep on about a dog and my situation job wise at the moment is not too secure but as soon as it is i am going to seriously think about it . I look forward to hearing that that delightful looking Harley is happy.
