Post subject:  The great pen competition

Weve all done it.
Weve inadvertantly walked out of an office, bank, supermarket or someones place of work with a pen still in our hands. Sometimes we are forgetful and find ourselves sitting in the car with a strange pen, other times we strive to get the trophy pen/gadget!!

I would like to ask the following:

What is your best/favourite or similar item.

And, would whoever got my Parker please return it!!

Barclays Bank in Slough had a supply of pens with the inscription - "Stolen From Barclays"...

But it was Slough and we did !!!

I remember once signing some important docs in a bank with the second in commands very fancy pen, after signing I sat with it and tapped it on the table several times, even to the point of distraction. He knew I had it but didnt have the testees to ask for it back when I left.

It only lasted a couple of weeks and then I couldnt find a refill anywhere, so promptly presented it back to him.

I have pens, also the latex gloves from the doctors surgery.

Should we have a competition to see who got the most absurd item in the past, or start one to see who can accumulate the greatest diversity in corporate pens and other gadgets by the end of the month???

I have got myself an orange traffic cone & I have to say it is quite big & heavy. Whilst doing the roads they had left one in my drive so I had to stop on the road, get out & move it: so I nicked it thinking that'll teach em.! It will come in handy someday I'm sure.

I once removed a table from an east end pub for a bet, it sat on my balcony for many years, and a long time ago I and a co-worker were part of an upgrade situation and had to visit peoples houses and change a piece of equipment, and after checking it all worked, the customer had to sign a form.
By accident we found we were leaving with the customers pens, so this became a trophy thing and after some 2500 calls we had hundreds of pens, all cheap one, the good ones we ALWAYS returned.

In my other life (married & drinking!!!) whenever we went out, usually 6 nights a week always about 10 of us, If we ever went in a pub that had a snooker or billard table I would always "borrow" the white ball. Had quite a collection by the time I got divorced, cant remember now what I did with them, prob threw them at the ex as he packed the new suitcases Id just bought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :huff

When I smoked
I had this habit of stealing disposable lighters from friends,
i ended up with a big fruit bowl full of them at home,
Everyone was going mad with me about this,
so one Christmas at my house , they presented me with a hole block
of clipper lighters , like you see in the shops ,
Anyway , it was all a big set up , as by the end of the day
someone had nicked the lot ....... B*RSTEWARDS

I just saw this thread which brought back a memory of many, many years ago at school where we decorated our newly acquired 6th Form Club Room with all sorts of liberated objects including a large sign that said "Warning. Protected by Securicor".

I used to be a midwife. You really don't want to know what I found in my bag when I got home sometimes.
