Hi just got back didn't think it was as busy as other years but still entertaining for the children, hope the stall holders have a successful day by the end its a long day for them but well done to paphiakos for organising it.

Hi All

Just got back from the dog show , seemed to be a good event , was that the Fish Wife dressed as a Cat ???

Our Dog came 6 in the Pedigree Section even though he played up and only wanted to be in the shade .

Police were on hand to sort out all the Pile Ups !!!

We went down there, spent over 45 minutes in traffic, so just went off and had lunch down Yiallos ....... :lol: :lol:

Biba got a 3rd place and Kofie a 6th place so we were pleased. We photographed Kofie with a giant shneuzer and a minature one which was pretty amazing to see all three sizes together. All in all a nice day out....

We had a GGGRRRREAT day my american cocker male was 4th in pedigree dog, my american girl was BEST GUNDOG my beagle girl won BEST PEDIGREE female then went on to win Res BEST IN SHOW!..................long tiring day but sooooo worth it.............fantastic atmosphere dont think i saw any doggie fracas all seemed to be fairly good tempered......only a year to go!
oh by the way.........for any spectators interested.....there is a 2 day dog show at the CTO stadium [ where Paphos Tigers play] on 15th and 16th May, this is the serious stuff though, entries closed a month ago so no entries on the day, great place to see the more unusual breeds, always good refreshments

The show to be held shortly is administered by the Nicosia Kennel Club and all dogs must be pedigrees registered with the club itself. Entries for these Championship Shows usually close 6-8weeks prior to the show so there is no further chance of entry. They hold at least one other Dog Show usually in Nicosia but if you are intending to enter your dog you must register your dog and prove its' pedigree as soon as possible.

actually 3 weekend shows [ 6 shows in all] 1 x 2 in March in Limassol....1x2 Paphos May
1x2 October in Nicosia................i am useless at directions but i think if you come off the r'bout down near where Revival dress agency is go towards the Geriskopou beach its usually signposted from there and i think off the motorway r'bout........there are a good few stadiums [ football feilds] down that way but i remember you have to turn off opposite an old [still used?] boat yard and its just there on your right. you could always ring the KC for better directions 22672803

he looked FANTASTIC too, we were sitting behind you when you were getting him dressed, that took reall B***S to go out there dressed like that! he deserved the 1st place without a doubt!......go on..........put a pic up for all those who missed it!

Fab show, and brilliant day. We decided not to take our dog in this year as she is old now and getting skitsy with noise etc, so my daughter Sophie took a friend's 3 legged dog in and got 6th place in best rescue and 6th in best Cyprus poodle, so she was well chuffed. :celebrate
Well done to everyone concerned, lot of hard work for a lot of people, but well worth it. :clap
