I have been trying for three years to convince Steve he needs a hearing aid (his hearing has been damaged through being a DJ and years ago he used to tape music from the radio then when he was searching for something on it there was this loud screeching noise). Anyway he saw the advert and answered yes to all of the questions proving that he does have a problem so guess where we will be this afternoon - at the exhibition in the Venus Beach Hotel. |

So he'll be able to hear you properly then Trish?? Maybe he has been avoiding it on purpose |

Tina, he never liked the idea of a hearing aid because they are visible - vain isn't the word with my OH. He is the only man I know that can not pass a mirror without looking in it and if there is a hair out of place oh dear, but then again that is disappearing fast |

Most men are worse than women. I have lived with three of them (husband and kids, before anyone's mind starts playing up) and they all spend more time in front of the mirror than I do. Verity. |

Sorry Trish....what did you say? My other half is like your Steve, but he used to be in bands, and the sound was....WOW...loud! and I am sure that is what has damaged his earing, but. ..no, he wont have it at all. When he has the tv on, it is loud, and I am forever saying, 'turn it down', yet he says its not loud . Wendy. |

At least he has been and made an appointment for a full hearing test. He was also told that if he keeps playing the drums to get special ear plugs for musicians that take away the bass that damages the ears. On the way there I literally had to shout in the car for him to hear me no radio on (since Steve can't seem to keep it tuned in -maybe I should have a go ) so I was getting kind of aggitated before we even got there. Agree men do have selective hearing. Wendy know what you mean about the TV, I end up with a headache where it is on so loud and can hear it 500 yards up the road - hate to think what the neighbours are going through. Molly how is your back? |
