Post subject:  Electric power cut in Chlorakas last night
Does anyone know why we had a power cut last night from about 7.55pm to 9.20 approx? It wasn't raining and I didn't see the usual cause of "lightening" about. :?: :roll:

We had a power cut sometime yesterday also, must have been while we were in work though, as everything was on when we got home :roll:

Maybe they were checking the lines after the other night :roll:

Hi Pete,

We are about last property coming down Grivas Digenis Avenue from Chlorakas towards Traffic lights at St Georges Hotel. The power cut affected area from Aliceland restaurant to Sienna and upwards to Chlorakas. The coast area was restored approx 20 mins before Chlorakas :roll:
I can see all round from Lighthouse to Coral Bay,Peyia, Kissonerga , Tala, to Tsada from where I live, and those areas were not affected at the same time :?:

I'm just being nosey :lol:

We are just along from paps in Chloraka and had power cut from 7.55 until I don't know when I only know I got up to turn the telly off at 2.10 freezing my toes off at the same time!! Hubby working down by St George x roads got power back about 9.30 . I caused a bit of worry from another pp member because i hadn't got any candles and the batteries of torch had run out . The very kind member said she would bring me some but I managed to curl up under a blanket with my lighter and phoned UK and then went to bed. Hubby came home at 10.15 and thought he would have a coffee!! Never mind!
Anyway got candles and batteries today so all set for t: :onight and many many many thanks to pp member Wendywop

No power cut for us last night, we are just up cardiac hill Chloraka.

Thank god for that it was cold again last night. :!: :!:
