Post subject:  Hi to everyone

Hi everyone I joined a couple of weeks back but have only now finally got round to making myself known. I am not an avid forum writer in the sense that many of you are but really do enjoy my fix by dipping in to read as often as I can. It helps me to feel nearer to the place I want to call home. Some of you might remember me posting a few times last year on another forum in an attempt to make contact with others who had bought through the same developer as ourselves.

Our problems in this regard are far from over but it hasn't put us off our long term plans. In the mean time we have bought a small apartment in the Universal area as a base so we can enjoy Cyprus as often as possible. We also find that it is better to meet with those in regard of our problems with our proposed home build, face to face, as email and phone calls just never seem to move things forward as well. We are looking forward to meeting more of you and will definately be around for at least one of the taverna get togethers, which by the way Verity I think is a superb idea.

Anyway hello to new friends and old ( in the nicest possible way  ) and no doubt I will be asking questions in regard of our new place as we pick the keys up in April.

Bev
(Artemis is the name of our apartment development.)

Hi Bev

Welcome - I live on Universal and love it. I find it suits me perfectly being just that bit away from the touristy area, but within easy distance if I want to go there 8) I'm quite near the new Pafilia build - and isn't that going up quick

I don't herar it at all Tricia. I'm in the street straight up from Universe 3, so it's at the bottom of my street and across the road. I'm just waiting for when they open the bakers and laundry and BAR!!!  Now that will be a good meeting place for all us Universalites.

I was almost across the road (I think) in Alina 4, the Makkara build. I am so glad I didn't buy that one, as they have built another right next door on the corner, and now the pool won't get any sun at all  Phew is all I can say, cos it was a very close call on which one I bought!

Post subject:  hi to everyone

What a lovely welcome . To Terrier Chris we live in Bristol but I am a Londoner by birth but for the most part lived in Torbay. To Jean hi I had noted before that your are a uni person, we are on the Top Properties build at Artemis Cynthia..... but when I saw the Pafillia sign with maid service ...mmmm. Hi To Jackie yes ditto will be good to get together again. I have already booked us up to come back for the best part of 3 weeks in jul/aug (breaking Tony in and weaning him off his workaholicness slowly and gently, we women are clever like that!).

Wow thats 2 posts already maybe I will get the bug ...... have been shy from actually posting before on forums unless I really needed info about something. Guess you could call me complex I am a Teacher and am in my comfort zone then but I find posting hard.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

Don't be too worried about it either, we all like to ramble on & there's no better place to air your views & opinions than on a forum that allows you too   :D

Good advice if all you intend to do is upset someone  but as we all like to talk & phone calls are so expensive these's day, why not use a forum such as ours to converse with other like minded people :D :D

Sorting my avatar just took half an hour but I am a bit pleased with myself as I am not a techie and I did it on my own!

Question is this sort of thing addictive?

Hi Bev. Sorry my welcome is a bit late but I have been out and about as well as having internet connection problems. But it is no less warm. :D

Happy to see you on this forum. I am sure that you will have lots to contribute as your journey to Cyprus continues.

You have my number - give me a bell when you are over if you fancy meeting up again. My plant seems to have survived the snow and is still alive.

Hi Bev and Welcome! :D

Teachers do a wonderful job - what age group do you teach?

You may well find this forum very addictive - I have to be so self disciplined or I could be on here for hours! We have just put our house up for sale in our quest to be resident in Pahpos.
