As the rubbish men were emptying the bins around the corner, one of the bags came apart and it was all over the place. Guess what they actually took a broom and spade and swept the lot up. I was gobsmacked as never imagined that would happen, but there again we have a really good team round our area even if it was them that pinched all our peaches last year. |

Trish, we are lucky if they even turn up to collect the bags. They certainly wouldn't clear up the mess. Our council tax bill is in the region of £1300 a year!!!!! |

What a difference Trish, our bin's are emptied at least twice a week here (once a fortnight in the UK, 3 or even 4 weeks around bank hols) and as Tina said massive council tax bill, more because we lived in a village where we had less services than those who lived in town ?????? |

You can laugh Neil, but there were only 11 peaches on the tree and they took 7 of them - at least I think it was them, since they were there when I took Candy out for her walk but disappeared when I got back after the bin had been emptied. I can't stand peaches so no skin of my nose but Steve was absolutely gutted especially since they were "the best peaches he had ever tasted". Can remember my massive Council Tax bill, but must admit because I worked for the Council if I needed anything taken away just had to make that internal phone call and next day it was all gone. Now for only CYP77 I get my bin emptied twice a week and if I forget to put it out they even come into the garden and take it. |

Would love to, but since we put the tree outside the property it really is free picking as we haven't got enough room in the garden. Lemon tree also out there and possibly the orange one will have to since we don't get enough sunshine at the side of the garden for it to do much (lots of blossom on it now though) |
