Hi Ruth,

Can I ask if you booked in advance as I know Steve is very, very busy on a Sunday & is fully booked most sundays :?

I just wouldn't want you traveling all that way to find he has no tables spare, thats all

Sam - you into Karaoke - I used to do loads of it, and still love it, although I am an old bird now  Thought about having it for my party, but it would have been an indulgence (don't think many people would have sung), so as Trish says, now having the best DJ in town. When you come over, we'll have to find a good karaoke bar.

Hi Pete,
Yes, we are booked. Alastair and I were there for lunch on Tuesday after our 4 x 4 trip to Panagia. We only live 2 Kms from Stroumpi.
The following Sunday is Mothering Sunday - and Steve will be extra busy.

Jean, They used to do Karaoke at the El Paso bar, near Laura Beach hotel, and it was all oldies so we wouldn't feel out of place. Don't know if they still do it there though.

I shall be dropping my son off at the crack of dawn (ok 8am) for his footy match, then I'm off to give a make up lesson.

Sunday - no idea yet - but I'll be floating on air as I'm having the best mothers day present a girl could wish for - my eldest is coming for a week next Sat so I'll have both my boys here :taz

How could we forget - looking forward to it! :D May as well make a day of it and stay out for the afternoon to watch the football afterwards too, just for a change!

Sunday should be the usual nice and relaxing affair, although I have decided that I'm going to start making an effort to cook more proper Sunday dinners (one thing I really miss!) so have bought a nice big pork joint for the occasion.

Think this might be "Boogies" Still going, I think.
When my son was 'Circus' leader with the 'Blues' (RAF engineers from the Red Arrows) we used to go in there at weekends when the Arrows were in Training at Akrotiri

The Red Arrows will be over here again shortly to complete there training programme before their 2008 shows.

I can let you know Neil. They start at 8 a.m. and fly three times each morning. I can't hear the blood pressures or baby's heart beat properly when I am doing my clinic for all the racket they make.

They are clever though.

DP - I was going to include it in the Taverna club, but the place we are going to is only open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

I have been a couple of times and it is trad taverna stuff, but I think it is tasty. We'll see what the others think and maybe Big Dutch will want to include it on his site.

Hope you all enjoy the lunch gathering and Jean's party.

On Saturday, I am joining 20 others to celebrate my daughter's 33rd birthday at Bibi's restaurant in Leeds..

I guess the younger end of party will then visit the clubs in town, but I and OH will more likely miss that out this time.

Sunday will consist of a relaxing day and apart from the Sunday dinner and a bit of ironing will be making my lists for our Cyprus visit the following Sunday. Yipee

Chris

Our friend does Karaoke 3 or 4 evenings at Charlies Bar TOK Rd, not much at the moment as it's so quiet but will pick up soon, lots of variety of songs old and new, all ages and talents welcome. Maybe a few of us could meet up there sometime. :D

My David love's karaoke and with a few strongbows inside me I have a go. I'm sure they only put me on the mike at closing time to clear the bar!!!!!!

The last time I sang karaoke (I'm using the word sang very loosely!) was at my leaving party 4 years ago. I had one pitcher of cocktails too many then the team desided they wanted to sing "what's new pussy cat". In my cuba libre induced state - I grabbed a microphone and hid behind the curtain where I meowed (I actually did make the meowing sound) throughout the song, broken only by my fits of laughter and peeking from behind the curtain!

Luckily, I think everyone else was drunker that I was so they too found this hilarious - I'm so glad I was never to see any of them ever again - I don't think I'd be able to look them in the eye!

Gonna try and make it second time lucky, Jan?

Well I have had a nice lunch at the Laona Tavern in Pano Pafos. Good food, and good company too.

If anyone is in Pano Pafos of a lunch time and you fancy a bite to eat it is well worth trying the Laona. As I said before, they are only open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. but they cook fresh food every day and it is tasty and reasonably priced. Has some good write-ups.

I hope the weather remains settled tomorrow. I am sending Phil up a ladder to put a treatment on our pergola. He has been warned.

I'm going to the Adelaida tonight for a celebration dinner with friends, then out to dinner tomorrow night with more friends (their treat for my birthday), and will probably spend Sunday slobbing out and coming round. Sounds good, and I won't have to rush round doing my housework, cos I can do that on Monday, or Tuesday, or Wednesday etc etc etc
