Hi David and welcome to PP. I know the Polis/Latchi area well and would love to meet up. I am in the UK at the moment, but coming our for 2 weeks on 15th March then back permanently on 14th May. Won't be in Polis itself but it is an easy drive. Enjoy this forum, especially if you are a little mad |

Hi David Welcome to Paphos People. I dont live in Latch/Polis but I'm sure there are plenty of people that do. There is a meet up for a Taverna in March, so perhaps you could put your name down and come and meet a lot of us then. |

Hi David, and welcome to PP. We live around 12 km from Polis and use Polis as our main grocery shopping centre. A good way to meet people here would be to join in the Taverna Club. I will put up the details of the March one at the end of next week, and I will put the rest of the venues up shortly. Just had other things occupying my mind recently. Feel free to ask any questions on here as they crop up. Happy to help if we can. Verity. |

Hi Mark. Yes, you are talking about Papantoniou's. It saves us going into Pafos and shopping there, although it isn't as big as the Paps in Pano Pafos so it doesn't hold as much stock. But yes, it has a fair choice. We bought 3 kilos of pork for just over £3 cyp last month. Really tasty and tender. It does special offers that are worth looking out for. Verity. |

Great i am over on the 15th march so i go in there for our shopping. It so much better for us to shop in polis rather than going to paphos for our shopping, only 15 mins drive for us |

David We (David & me) live in Chloraka but often drive to Polis or Latchi on my afternoons off, we love sitting on the harbour at Latchi watching the world go by. Give us a shout when you arrive and we'll meet up! |

There are some lovely fish restaurants in Latchi as well. Cant beat sitting at the harbour with a lovely meal and drink in the sunshine. |

SO agree with Molly, I had the best sea bass ever at one of those tavernas, forgot the name but it's right on the harbour, great people watching location. Last time we were there, the heavens opened and everyone headed indoors except for one chap who was determined to continue his meal even though the plates were filling up with water and his wine being diluted by the giant hailstones, I guess he didn't need any ice for his drink!! We did laugh |

Hi David, we live in Theletra, which is not too far from Polis/Latchi. we also go to Polis for our main shopping - there are lots of shops hidden down side streets - fantastic bakeries and butchers, although Pap's meat, fish and veg are excellent and we always find the assistants are very friendly. Will see you when you come over. Ruth |

The only problem with Paps in Polis is they don't sell cooked chook's |

hi sevener, a Restaurant/Takeaway in Prodremi [left hand side of road to way to Latchi almost opposite the DIY store] sells cooked chickens - delicious! Ruth |
